Heard nothing but praises for Algonquin Sub shop so I had a taste and thought we'd give it a try. Was kinda busy (good thing). Girl who took order, polite, friendly. But after order received, got home to discover potato salad order not present. Wifes sandwich missing vinaigrette. Too far to go back, but when wife's not happy....... Hoping sandwiches are good.
The sandwiches are a little underwhelming. I ordered the #1. It had a different cheese on it then advertised, so I peeled that off. I had requested tomato’s, pickles and onions, all of those were missing. The pepperchini, were way too hot!! I don’t think there’s was any Italian vinegrgette on it either. I also thought the bread was like what you’d buy in a plastic bag at Jewels deli. Nothing special at all! I did love the soups though! I ordered 2 different ones, and both were excellent!

It's a cute little sub shop tucked away among the buildings, I've driven past many times without realizing it's there, but stopped by one day and got the Al Capone, everything was very good and the inside was very tiny and cute
I just tried the Al Capone. Delicious and Filling! I will definitely be back to try the other sandwiches. I’ve passed this place for years, I wish I would’ve gone sooner.
I have been going to this same sub shop ever since I was a kid!! The subs are still the best subs around. The fries are one of my favorites!!! Hands down the best seasoning and best fries ever. The people that work there are always awesome. Very respectful even during these difficult Covid times.I love how the owner always wears a mask .She is awesome
Best subs in Chicago area. Fries are like crack. Spicy chili rub is the best sub I’ve had in my life and I am not really a pork fan. I get mad when I pass on Monday’s and they aren’t open. Gonna miss this place when I move
I tried this place for the first time today after a friend recommended it. Wow! This knocks any chain sub place out of the water. I'm not in Algonquin often, but when I am, I will stop here for lunch!
