This is a great place to host a private event, or for any special occasion.The restaurant is set up with a few individual sections that can easily be closed off for a more intimate and personal feel.The decor is very vibrant and colorful with a lot of Mexican fare.The staff does a phenomenal job keeping your glasses of water full and the tables clean.The kitchen is on a completely different level when it comes to pushing the food out on time, they are just incredibly efficient even when the restaurant is at full capacity.The food is very good and consistent, but it is a little more on the Tex-Mex side.The prices are slightly high, but they do give you a free small cup of soup and plenty of chip & salsa to make up for it.The beer selection is very good and the mix drinks are amazing.They also have a small outdoor patio so you can enjoy the beautiful summer days.The live entertainment on some nights is also a nice touch.I can't wait to come back on a day or night that they have a mariachi blasting out some wonderful Mexican songs.They also used to have a buffet before the covid-19 pandemic but I'm not sure if they are still doing that anymore.
Kind of pricey but the sopa before our meal was really good. The margarita was also delicious The steak fajitas were really good and the enchiladas were delicious too the portions were good size but the waiter didn't pay close attention or write down our order when we were placing it. We asked for rice instead of beans with our order as the side and we received beans anyway. The atmosphere was also very nice
All around it was a good experience. My only real issue was the nachos were definitely lacking chips. It was all toppings and approximately 8 chips. The server had brought out additional salsa with the promise of chips to follow soon. The chips did not follow soon and we actually had to ask for the chips, which took quite a while to arrive still. Not sure if it was a normal occurrence, but hopefully my next visit will prove to be a better one.
We had Oscar, a great server! He missed a few requests like no sour cream on my plate. But his energy and friendliness compensated for the few mistakes. If it was for him and the food I'd give 5 stars plus. However, I am particular about my drinks. Their mojitos are not the best. It would be awesome if they offered the mango smashed margarita in frozen form, I would be back for more. But they don't. So, next time I visit will only order food. The food is great! The service too. They earned the place 6 food costumers. We went somewhere else for drinks.
Everything was amazing from beginning to end. Yesterday, We had the best server Irene V. She was phenomenal made me feel like home. Prices are decent a variety of options in the menu the margaritas were just right and the music Definitely ans highly recommend it here.
Shout out to Ricardo, my server! He was excellent. Ricardo made my delicious dining experience extra special. He was very friendly. Promptly greeted me at my table with a smile soon after I was seated to see if he could get me a beverage while I looked over the menu. Returned a couple times to check on me and accommodate my indecisive nature! After my food arrived, he checked on me not too much and not too little to make sure everything tasted good and that I had everything I needed for my delicious meal. The chips and salsa hit the spot. I got the chimichanga. I recommend it. Very good. Even the restaurant's interior is lovely. I noticed this right away upon entering. The interior design is on point for a Mexican restaurant. Very comfortable seating. Unlike some restaurants in Illinois during cold winter months, the temperature inside was excellent (it was a bitter cold Jan. night outside). Great location with plenty of parking. Always delicious food & good times. Servers are attentive, friendly & helpful. Lots of food options to choose from, you can't go wrong. Check out the drink options as well.
I would give them zero stars if I could. We were supposed to have a girls night out after work. Unfortunately all we got was stale chips and salsa with water. My friend and I sat at the table for 20 min with no service. The servers were too busy looking at the wall or flirting with each other. I would normally be more comprehensive but we were the third table there. The place was empty. When I would look at a server to get his attention so we could order they would look away towards the wall or wall back into the kitchen. If you do not like to the world of customer service, than i advise you to quit your job. I will be honest. I am of Mexican heritage and I know what the food should taste like. I was 100 percent not there for their unflavored salsa or their terrible excuse for “Authentic Mexican Cuisine.” The drink are not too shabby. But after that preposterous experience I decided to steer my Gals to Marcus Cinema. They have an open bar, snacks and the wait is very short. The staff at the Marcus bar is awesome and they make the most amazing drinks. If you are looking for a great place to have a drink without disappointment, head to Marcus theatre :)
We were here today at 2:00. ABSOLUTELY no staff members had masks on but we kept ours on. Food was very good. I placed order to go and while waiting saw the same (unmasked) server who was handling 2tables pick in and on his nose at least 5 times if not more. There were only 3 tables occupied. My friend had gone to car so I was just sitting there watching. I wanted and should have told the people he was serving but didn’t. It was so gross. Maybe he had a cold or running nose or Covid. All I know is he was not sanitary at all. Your web site says you wear masks and sanitize. Not likely if your servers are not even practicing cleanliness. Too bad cause we really liked your food.
The food is really good, but unfortunately the prices on meals and drinks have really gone up. Soup comes with the meals, but a lot of the time it's not brought out to you until you ask for it and by then the food is already being served. The chips and salsa are good as well as the politeness from everyone who works there.
