I went through the drive thru and was the only one in line. Ordered and then sat at the window for over 20 minutes and we only ordered 3 blizzards. A guy came up to the window after 15 minutes saying they were just now starting our order because out of 6 employees they have 1 doing ice cream. And they were working on door dash orders first. I watched 2 people walk in and walk out with orders while I was simply waiting for ice cream. When we got our blizzards they were melted and 2 of them they didn't even attempt to flip upside down because they knew just as well as I did that it would fall out. Not impressed with them at all!
Ok so I got two blizzards and a bandanna split all of course was on point and to the T delish.The problem is that I sat in the drive thru line for over an hour. I got to the speaker to order at the hour mark then it was another 15-20 mins till I got to the window to pay and get my order.When I pulled up I paid and then I seen the kid whom took my payment and two others just standing around talking.I told the guy who took my payment that I was upset that I was in line for over an hour. All he could say was "im sorry we are short staffed" I had the same conversation with the other gentleman that i seen standing around.Here is the thing....Why am i sitting in line for over an hour (yes because the Blizzards are worth it) while people have time to stand around. Why couldn't one or two of them jump in back to help while everyone waited either in line or for food.Highly unprofessional and sorry that I have to write this because DQ has always been amazing.
I'm so irritated the last two times I've ordered food here I didn't get the gravy and ranch or anything to dip my chicken strips in. Why would I order them and not want to dip them in something?! I just went through the drive thru got home and then boom no sauces. My food was cold, French fries tasted like they had sat in the fridge all night then left out to get to room temp. Called and someone answered and hung up. Not going back anymore. Way too expensive to waste my time and money on. Waited over 20 minutes in line too with only one person in front of me.
If I could give no stars I would. Not only did I sit in line for 20 minutes, when I came up to the intercom I sat for another 30 minutes waiting for someone to take my order. I then went to the window when the line in front of me cleared and asked if their intercom was broken and they said no “there’s a lot of people inside we have to serve first.” I then asked if it was okay to order at the time and the employee told me I’m not allowed to order there. In the time I sat there people were raging and leaving. Parking and going inside. 6 vehicles had left. I traveled straight from there to rathdrum DQ and I spent less time driving and getting my ice cream there than I did in the Postfalls DQ line. I do not recommend the Dairy Queen in Postfalls.
The employees are not trained at all, expected to know how to do things with 0 training. Management is abusive to employees every single day. Many employees have quit because of bad treatment and some fired for standing up. I went above GM head to complain and yesterday she was awful to me and I was sent home 30 min early. While the GM Paula has not spoken to me since, I'm guessing retaliatory termination is there. I will be contacting correct channels to find out next steps. They just lost me as a customer. Closed at 8pm on a Friday? Let alone the night I stopped in there and the employee’s eyes were so glossed over that she couldn’t even make a straight cone. Closer you got to the counter, the more the overwhelming scent of ammonia was replaced by the faint smell of weed.
First I ordered cheese curds and instead of telling me they were out gave me something else and overcharged me. Told them and they just said sry instead of correcting. They have gotten terrible.
Employees very nice, but it took them atleast 15 minutes before they could take my order. And there was only one person in front of me. It seemed to me they were more worried about the drive thru customers than us. Thanks
Horrible work place. The manager, Paula, physically and mentally abuses the underage staff. Who lays their hands on a child that works for them??? DO NOT RECOMMEND
I have had really great success here. Each time is and everything is hot. I come here fairly frequently and staff is always very friendly.
