We had a medium shredded beef burrito that was excellent. The two of us shared the plate and could barely finish it. Our adult female friend had a child's plate enchilada that was delicious, but she could barely finish. Our male friend had a chimichanga that was great. Everyone said their food was delicious, savory, and filling. Our waiter provided excellent service even though he was the bartender, waiter, and busboy. We highly recommend this restaurant!
Service was great so don’t want to say that the people there are bad in anyway! Very friendly and helpful… why I’m giving such a bad review is the simple fact that our food was extremely plain… ordered street tacos shredded beef with pico….tasted only like roast beef with no spices or added flavors…. The vegetables were like out of a can in texture and taste… in all wouldn’t recommend…. Can’t remember what my girlfriend ordered but was the same to her just poorly cooked recipes….
Delicious food and the bartenders are very friendly. I always sit at the bar! The salsa you get with the basket of chips is slightly watery, but really good.
The waitress was so nice. And checked on us recently. The food was beyond delicious. It had tons of flavor. I would definitely recommend this place!!
It was a good looking restaurant but my family and I went there and the food wasn't tasting good. There tortillas are store bought and the sprite tasted bad but the flavor was still full. It wasn't a great experience for my family and I.
Technically, this review should be two and half stars--the server was excellent.Not bad if you don't mind Mexican cuisine seasoned with Lawry's Season Salt. Shredded beef, seasoned with too much salt, in a flour tortilla and covered in cheddar cheese. Meh....Our third try at this restaurant and we don't need to go back.
Awful awful experience....waitress was extremely rude the one maybe two times she talked to us messed up our order. And when she came by to ask how everything was there was no eye contact she didn't even stop long enough to hear our answer. I have gotten a better taco salad from a local fast food chain and paid half as much. I'm wondering what happened to cause such a drastic difference from all the other times I've dined here....
I have always loved mama inez. When the Idaho Falls location closed, I would drive to Pocatello to eat my favorite Mexican food. When I go to the restaurant to eat everything is fine. Since Covid I have to order to go.Not ONCE has my to go order been correct!I would suggest if ordering to go, check your order carefully (opening every container) and that doesn’t guarantee the ingredients are correct.I will have to wait to have Mama Inez until I can go in to sit down and eat.Very disappointed.
The Valentines Prime Rib dinner was great! The service was awesome and we received our meal really fast.
I eat at Mama Inez every time I’m in Pocatello. I’ve even asked my college student to bring it back for Christmas break! The cream cheese and crab enchiladas are my favorite. This visit, our 1/2 order of the cheese crisp didn’t arrive before our entrees, but our waitress caught it and took it off our bill. I’d have taken it to go, because I love it, but didn’t figure it would reheat very well. All our meals were very good, especially the fish tacos.
