A lovely friendly man greeted me when I walked in and we talked for quite some time, so amicable and funny!The coffee was so tasty and fresh, the treats looked so tempting !I loved the decor and it was great chatting with the owner about the property and it’s history too.I will most definitely be coming back fro great coffee and a good time ! Everyone should go check it out, I highly recommend it ?
I have lived half a mile away for seven months, and just now found this place. I feel like I was missing out all this time! First, don't allow the simple store front to fool you. The shop is large inside, decorated so cool, and has a ton of seating. It was really fun to look at all the options they have for treats, including the dog treats. (Brought home two for my pups, and they were very impressed.)The coffee was amazing. I don't usually drink coffee unsweetened, but I ordered a plain latte just to try it out and it was so good I didn't add any sweeteners. It was served SUPER hot, too, which I love, because I like to take my time with my drinks.The owner was very affable, and we chatted for some time. He was really just so friendly and welcoming, despite me showing up right before closing time.I don't always feel comfortable or safe the first time I walk into a space, but I did here. Just felt I could sit and chat for ages and not be judged or talked down to.I'm telling everyone how cool this shop is. They have a new regular.
Not sure why this place is empty on a Saturday morning at 9 o’clock, but the coffee and pastries were phenomenal, I love the ambience and the guy making the coffee was great!!!!!
This place is perfect! I love the atmosphere and the drinks and treats are delicious! It’s the perfect place to do some work or just relax. And they have fun dog treats that I think my dogs would love.
Excellent espresso! We stopped by this little cafe after we got a recommendation from someone in Idaho Falls who said they have every flavor syrup imaginable. We are not syrup-in-coffee people but you don’t need a flavor here because the espresso was excellent. And you can pick up some fancy treats for your dog while you are here!
I absolutely love this place! Tom is super welcoming and they have the best dog treats! If you’re new to down definitely come here. It’s the first coffee shop I’ve felt welcomed at!!
As a PhD student, coffee shops are a must, but finding a place that is comfortably homey, with the most delicious coffee, is not always an easy task. Look no further than Main Steam because you won't get better service, better coffee, better pastries, and even better dog treats than here! I always feel like family when I go in, and you will not regret ordering a mocha (even though everything is amazing). The location is situated in Old Town, surrounded by all the other shops and storefronts, so it's the perfect location to spend a morning. If you're from out of town, stop by for a cup of coffee... you will not regret it!
LOVE THE COFFEE! Just happened to stop one day and now I’m hooked! Plenty of yummy treats for you and your pups (I think my dogs like going more than I do) ! I they even told me I could bring mine in if I want to. great environment and LGBTQ+ friendly!
Ordered the London fog and hot chocolate, both were delicious! He even made the hot chocolate more warm than hot for my kid which was very nice. Definitely would recommend this instead of chain coffee shops!
Today we spent several pleasant hours at Main Steam Coffee and Desserts. Tom and Kevin, the proprietors, as always were attentive and really fun to visit with. Not only do they make the best hot chocolate we have ever tasted, everything is fabulous. I was able to pick up some novelty treats for Christmas gifts. We love this place! Thanks, Tom and Kevin for a wonderful stress-free and fun-filled afternoon!
