I've never been a fan of this restaurant but certain members of my family are, so in a compromise I agreed to go here this particular night. Our group was a party of 8. Decent sized but manageable. Our waitress was swift on getting us our drinks and taking our general order. Upon receiving our food, my was delayed due to it being taken to another table. Annoyed by this but I forgave the mistake. After my group had finished and boxed up any leftovers, I was left with one heck of a shock. My total bill came to almost $152.00, over $20 being an automatic gratuity. I was beyond shocked and upset, especially with the food mix up earlier. I was hoping the restaurant would have at least excused the gratuity or reduced it. The waitress upon cashing out had the audacity to ask me to leave a tip. Not happening !! I won't be going there again anytime in the near future.
I have given this restaurant 5 star in the past. New chef. The shrimp was so spicy (I love spicy) my stomach burned for an hour. I picked out the shrimp and left the sauce, mushrooms and onions. I grew up in so cal. I know spicy. I cook with ghost peppers. This was put you in the hospital hot. Said something to the waitress and she didn’t seem care. This was my favorite Mexican restaurant in Pocatello.
Food and service were great, drink prices were outrageous. My meal was $11.00, and ONE mixed drink was $10.00. SAME drink at Texas Roadhouse and Olive Garden is $5-6. Very disappointing, but I did enjoy the meal, just very surprised when I got the bill that my one drink basically cost the same as my entire meal
Friendly staff and delicious ? food, what more can you ask for?!
The Salsa was excellent, I just stopped for a quick lunch, had the soup, guacamole and also had a Margarita too. All was excellent. Service was great too. Highly recommend!
awful. just awful. poor service. poor food. overpriced. we waited 30 minutes after we finished our food to get our check. waiter didn’t check at us at all and took another 10 minutes just to get boxes. food was gross and stale and extremely overpriced. not okay
i ordered 21 spicy pork tacos. the spicy pork had no flavor they were harder than the chips it came with and very very dry. i called thek about it and they said they would make us new ones if we took the tacos back.
This is normally a great place to eat. I eat here a couple times a year. I stopped in with some co workers last week and it was alnost comical. My lunch friends asked for Cokes. They serve Pepsi products that they declined and requested water. A few minutes later 2 Pepsi were brought to them. When I ordered #25 combo with a Relleno he asked how many tortillas I wanted. I received 3 street tacos #24 for lunch. One of my friends ordered a different kind of taco dish and they brought him a massive burrito. Both lunches looked good so we laughed and ate them anyway. They were really good, just not what we asked for. We were not unhappy it was just comical. I will go back. This was my cousin Shawns favorite place to eat and I had lunch with him there a week before he died under suspicicius circumstances. His Best friend and I celebrate his birthday every Dec 7 with bean dip, salsa and a Blue Moon.
I really wish I could give 5 stars... It was good no doubt about it. One detail however kept me to 4 stars. The Chili relleno was tasteless with NO heat at all. It was well stuffed and well cooked.... But the chili itself was not of a good quality. Maybe from an "off" crop or something but wow what a disappointment. I was shocked as everything else was really nice.
As a vegetarian, the options are fairly minimal. If you are like me, please double check, beans are cooked with lard. You can ask for customization for most items. I asked for a veggie filling in chimichamga with whole beans.Items on the menu can be combined in a combo deal which will make the price even more affordable. FYI, they don't have home delivery option. It is a 2 for me since I was not told what the stuff is cooked with unless I asked again. The first time I just said veg chimi, they gave me straight up with bean stuffing without disclosure.
