We had never been to Smashburger before. My husband and I were so pleased with the experience! Their options for Brussels sprouts as a side absolutely made my day! I LOVE Brussels sprouts. If you’re not a sprouts person, I urge you to still consider giving them a try… unless you’re just downright disgusted by them. But if you’re on the fence, they’re superb! Also, they have amazing tots! The burgers were pretty good too. I will say, the one thing that got me was the cheese. They are seemingly an upscale fast food restaurant, or appearing to be one. However, they’re still using that orange American melty cheese on their burgers. I know it’s cheaper and whatnot, but it’s was the “downfall” for me of the burger. They were also a bit spendy, and yes, we took into account that it’s a “gourmet burger”. Aside from that, the food was amazing, the service was great, and the place was clean!
Called to order ahead of time.Even though they have a burger with guac, I was unable to add any to my order. They seemed surprised I didn’t want plain avocado in place of that.They are unable to do shakes as well apparently.We were told our order would be ready in 15-20 minutes.We waited 20 minutes and then left (we live about ten minutes away) and then we still had to wait an additional 30+ minutes for our very simple order. (It took more than an hour to get our order from the time that we called. Turns out whoever took our order didn’t actually place it, but just wrote it down.)When we got the order, one of our large fries was only half filled. Burger wasn’t any better than jack in the box. Thin patty that didn’t cover the bun.The woman who ordered behind us mentioned having to email the company about service here before.
Bun was cold like it came out of a refrigerator, and too soft for something like a burger. Fresh lettuce and tomatoes. Somehow the jalapenos were weirdly super mild. Not a terrible burger, but also not awesome either. Fries were skinny cut and greasy. For what comes to about twelve bucks, this was underwhelming and doesn't make me want to return.
The food was excellent. My son and fiance ordered shakes with their meals. They must have been short handed, which I get, cuz they didn't get their shakes til we were pretty much done eating. The worst part was the poor guy at the counter was struggling keeping up with incoming guests, delivering food to tables, and making shakes. What I assume was the manager just stood to the side and put food on trays now and then. Didn't help deliver food, make shakes, bus tables. I felt bad for the counter guy
Not your typical smashburger cuisine, curiously deformed patties and weird looking produce nothing like the pictures on the menu board not even close.$25 for two sandwiches of fry and a beverage ?
Wanted to add bacon to a burger and the nice girl at the register had to ask how, which i 100% don't mind, but the guy that jumped in and "helped" her, talked to her like she was d**** He gave her completely wrong advice (added a whole separate side order) and disregarded/made fun of her when she told him I wanted bacon ON my burger. Despite the way the female worker was treated for trying to make my order correctly, i still ended up with bacon in an individual plastic container. Then realized my partner who ordered a bacon burger, didn't get any so i ended up just having to give him mine anyway. And the cherry on top was asking for no onion and no pickle but somehow ending up with both. I'd completely understand if it were busy but we were literally the only order they had at that moment so all of that seemed like pure incompetence (except the female who rung us out).Tried it, really disappointed, not coming back.
If youre looking for a great quality burger for a decent price than this is it. Im impressed with the flavors and the salted caramel shake was bomb. The place is small and the service was very friendly. Thank you much ?
We stopped in for lunch on our way through Boise. We’ve been to other Smashburger in our travels and have always been pleased with the food and staff has always been wonderful. We were no disappointed. The food was amazing as always. The server was great, very friendly and accommodating. We had the opportunity to visit with a gentleman who I believe is a new manager. He was very pleasant to visit with. He checked to see how things were and if he could hep with anything more. We will definitely come back when we’re passing through. I will tell my family to check it out.
The staff was OK but the burgers were good. A little salty but not enough to not give it a 2nd try. It was however better then your typical fast food.
Great tasting burgers and a decent size for a great price. Had their brisket burger and it was Friken amazing. Customer service could be nicer, every time I go there’s never a nice person taking orders. I guess that could be worked on. But regardless, burgers are great here.
