Being in the Chandler family, I expected more. The food was acceptable, but lacked any zest. The service was par, but not exceptional. It was not crowded, so one must assume that there is a lack of motivation. The most annoying part of the experience was the bill. The check total was 100.70 . I paid with three 50 dollar bills, and received 49.00 in change. Technically it should have been 49.30. The staff should not assume the .30 means nothing. That assumption, coupled with the food and service rating adds up to a missing link somewhere in management. My first visit last year warranted a higher rating. Their trajectory has changed in my opinion.
I am from Eastern Idaho and stopped for a quick lunch. I ordered the sushi/chopped Asian salad combo and a Huckleberry Cider. I am new to the sushi world and it looked delicious and once I get over the stuff around the outside it was awesome….no fault of the cooks, I am a newby and I really did enjoy it. Presentation was excellent, and the Salad was awesome. Never had a Huckleberry Cider- anything huckleberry has to be great and it was so good!! Will keep coming back when in Meridian!! Staff was so friendly and quick at the height of busy lunch hours!!!
Decided to go on a whim and glad we did. Their happy hours have changed from what another review had posted but we still made it within the time. The sushi was solid (Boston, Firecracker and Crab roll were our favorites). Food came out super fast and the staff were on point. The only criticism was that the music was pretty loud and didn't fit the atmosphere (Today's Hits in an Asian restaurant).
Spent $60 on our meal to get food that's worse quality than Panda Express that you can get for a quarter of the price... pictures don't look anything like what you actually get- our calamari had about 8 pieces of calamari and a heaping pile of what they refer to as "Asian Slaw" which is literally just coleslaw with no sauce or anything....Sushi rolls are extremely skimpy for the price, usually when you're ordering a specialty roll you expect it to be wider but these were less wide than the sushi you'd buy at a grocery store.Firecracker chicken tasted super bland and soggy. I honestly wouldn't recommend spending your money on anything in this menu.
Visited here about 3 pm on a Sunday, our server was very nice and attentive, knew the menu well, and made good suggestions and offered alternatives or substitutions. However, we didn't get one of the drinks we ordered, the drink service was very slow, but the drinks were tasty, albeit a bit expensive. My "Lucky" lo mein noodles looked like they died under a heat lamp, noodles were soggy and the steak was chewy, the sauce had filmed over the top, The "Evil Jungle Princess Chicken" was Very Good peanut sauce to die for, perfect portioning of protein to rice to sauce, chicken was tender and flavorful, not drowned out by the bold sauce. still giving 4 stars despite the service issues because I could tell the passion for the food was there, the timing just needed a little work.
$40 and this is what we get..... Food is good but not high end amazing. Unless you have money to burn, go somewhere else. Post review, I get it, cost has gone up but this markup is by far the highest I’ve seen.
My wife and I went for a date night. They have happy hour until 6pm with drink and appetizer specials. Not a huge menu but not a small selection either. Service was on par with our expectations even though we waited a little longer for our food to arrive. When it did arrive it was sizzling hot. We got a sushi roll to share and two main entrees. Everything was good. We will be back again to try more things on the menu.
The only "negative" is that the food is higher priced than I'm used to. (My household usually goes for cheaper food, less customer service.)Now for all the positives. First, because I need dairy free, I had emailed them asking about hidden dairy (ie cooking with butter). I emailed really late (my fault), so had not heard back the same day. They did respond in less than 24 hours. When at the restaurant, I asked the waitress and she was knowledgeable about how things were cooked (what she said matched what I later got by email). Then because we were there for a large family gathering (17 people), the space had been reserved. It was a great, well designed area, and the table set up was nice as well. Everything very clean. A couple of times I could see into the back, and that looked clean as well. The server was wonderful. She was personable and easily went with the flow and chaos that 17 people bring. She didn't mess up any orders, and made sure to pass on how the menu worked for us newbies. And finally, the food and drinks were really good. There was a nice variety for all the different tastes, even the kids. (I just wish I had leftovers for today, I ate mine when I got home.)
my 1st time here, happy hour drinks and food very tasty had the potstickers and the best I've had and my buda feast was delicious!
