Food and service were amazing !!! Best sushi we've had.

Fun hibachi style place. Food was tasty and service was excellent and entertaining. We had 3 people with birthdays in our party of 10, and they were sung too and got special dessert. One thing I would add is a comment about the seating arrangement. 3 of our 10 guests were pretty isolated from the chef and the rest of our party. I'd say max size if you want everyone involved in the conversation is 7.
Absolutely wonderful meal. Took a bit to get seated with reservations but worth the wait. Highly recommend and the price was pleasantly surprising for 10 people. I have paid more when my wife and I go out for our anniversary dinner for 2. If you want to have a good meal cooked in front of you highly recommended just don't forget to tip your Chef it can take them up to 10 years to become this type of chef so I feel they should be recognized for their commitment.
Came here for a farewell party. The hostess saw our cake and offered to place it in the cooler. That was a much appreciated gesture. We took a while to order, waiting for others to arrive, but the waiter was super patient with us. The chef that cooked for us was a bit dry humored and seemingly in a rush. I wasnt impressed but it was the first time for many and they seemed to really enjoy the experience. The food was seasoned well enough to enjoy but the veggies had a weird taste and the thickest part of the salmon was a tad bit undercooked. He didnt seem to use much salt, but my gf and I were in search of water all the next day.We ordered the kiss on fire and rock and roll rolls to share and both were tasty. The honey sauce in the kiss on fire made the roll stick out. Id go back, but would be hopeful for a different chef.
This restaurant not only was not prepared for our table, one of the people with us didn’t order anything but a sushi roll. She did not get the roll tell after everyone was done eating, and they forgot about it more then three times. Food is good but customer service is poor. I would not recommend unless you want you family to sit and wait for a copious amount of time. If the restaurant would like to make this right please reply. Also we had a reservation for 7:30 and still had to wait over 20 minutes outside in the cold
It’s a fun place to celebrate a birthday, we sat were they cook & entertain you. Some us had sushi and some had food cooked in front of us. Both were delicious, the service is always good . My 4 yr old nephew calls it the whale restaurant he enjoy the white rice and the waitstaff knows him. Even though they brought my niece a birthday dessert we were allowed to bring our own cake. Very clean , good service and lots of fun memories.
I made a reservation for 7pm on a Saturday a week in advance, it was no issue they made the reservation. Then 5 days later they called me and told me they’d have to change a reservation to 745pm so our party didn’t have to wait to be seated. Our party showed up at 745 and they weren’t ready and still had us wait until 834pm before they actually sat us down at our table. My meal including my tip was for $100 but Izumi overcharged me by $100 and they tell me I have to speak to a manager but the manager isn’t ever available. This restaurant is not worth the hassle.
The Chef and staff were very professional, short wait getting in but within a few minutes the chef began cooking and enlightened the group. A few of us had the shrimp dinner, a few rolls and Saki. All of it was good. I recommend Izumi and we will return for more fun.
