What a disaster. The Door Dash delivery person delivered my order to the wrong house. So I had to hunt it down. Once eating, I took a cold bite of my food and bit into a hard pebble. Upon spitting it out, part of my tooth came out with it along with pain. So I’m now making an emergency appointment with my dentist.
We ordered the Fiesta platter and a plate of 3 enchiladas using doordash. We are very disappointed with the quality of the food. It was very bland with little to no flavor and we were also missing a couple items in the platter. It was thrown together with no care and the serving sizes were ridiculous. We paid $60 for what your seeing in the pictures. It was so bad, we tasted it and threw it away. Doordash won't give a refund, waste of money and time.
Thought it’d be a good idea to stop by for lunch, ordered shrimp tacos, received fish tacos instead. Was charged for the shrimp, the mixup wasn’t a big deal but they definitely tasted like dirt. Ordered an oyster/shrimp platter, same muddy flavor but the big deal was the warm oysters. Don’t know how long they were sitting out prior to being served. They definitely didn’t come out of a cooler, fridge, or off of ice, to get that warm they’d have to be left unrefrigerated for a scary long time. Negligent food handling at best, but the server was quite nice.
Ordered 3 tacos al pastor, not what I expected, way better than I expected! I thought I would just be grabbing a quick bite to go along with my beer, but when my plate arrived, I got a nice full plate. Rice, beans and my three tacos. Very nice presentation, well organized and the flavor was on point!It's hard to find a good Mexican restaurant, with good tasting food here in Idaho, so far this place hasn't disappointed me. I recommend this place over any other Mexican restaurant. Try those tacos al pastor. They're fire!
Since Covid started, customer service has been seriously lacking, but the food is always good. They have cut down on portion size and increased prices tho so I tend not to go as much. Used to get the chimichanga, but they increased the price over $2 and made it about the size of a soft taco. And now they change a fee for pick up orders. Not sure what happened there.
Since moving to the Treasure Valley, I have been on the hunt for a decent bowl of menudo. Well, if decent is what you're looking for then this place will shatter all expectations. Their menudo is top tier fantastic. With that being said, my preference is with hominy. If I have your attention still, then let's keep going. The depth of flavors from this soup tell me this was no quick throw together recipe. My biggest concern always is if the tripe is cleaned and prepped and the flavor answered that question. It was done right for sure. It came with all the necessary additions like white onion, cilantro, lime, dried oregano and dried chili pepper. If you're into menudo like I am, then don't miss out on this.Besides the food, the service is great. Eddy is very attentive and you want for nothing. The Modelo I ordered was served in a giant frosty mug and was ice cold. The chips and salsa are good and the refried bean dip was perfect for layering on to my corn tortillas. Roll them up and dip it into the menudo. Just a suggestion if you want to give it a try.My son had a combo steak and shrimp fajitas which he said he enjoyed. You can't get any further info out of him about his food. He asked to take the rest home in a box which indicates it was better than most.I recommend this place for sure as I will now be a regular, even though it's a 20 minute drive for me.
The food was delicious, loved the salsa, tasted like authentic Mexican food and that’s hard to find sometimes. I ordered the street tacos with the Al pastor! The lady who took my payment was a sweetheart too, very pleasant experience. Oh and they are open late even on Sunday’s which is awesome! Thanks for being timely with my order and for the yummy food! Wait staff was efficient and friendly. We did wait at the door for a couple of minutes before we were noticed, but a gentleman came up to us with a warm greeting and infections smile.They have an extensive 7-page menu with lots of choices and enticing pix and appetizing descriptions of entrees, appetizers, combo plates and desserts. Food was tasty with generous portions. The only shortcoming was that my food was not very hot (temperature)
They have good food and great dessert
We just had the buffet, if you can call it that. Way overpriced for what is offered, the buffet area is way too small, the food is sparse, cold and tasteless. Staff was friendly.
