Had to ask for a receipt- $30 for 2 sandwiches and a small "bowl" of soup.??Asked for a water cup and was charged $2.50 for a 32 oz fountain drink. They forgot the tomatoes I asked on both sandwiches. Adding some pepperonis was a $2 extra charge. I had to take the sandwiches apart there to find this out of course and everything went cold immediately. Even though I complained they made no effort to remedy my dissatisfaction other than giving me a container of sliced tomatoes for me to throw on myself. Everyone there was very nice. Ok but what about not charging me almost 3 dollars for fountain water, and not making my order correctly? And the tiny soup was $5! They wrap the sandwiches really nice but I assure you the contents are nothing special especially for this price!
Don't let the fact this sandwich shop is in a gas station fool you! I've tried multiple sandwiches & soups at this location now, and they have been consistently good every time! The sandwich ingredients are always fresh, and the combination of flavors is unique (ie: Holiday Turkey). The bread is baked/toasted and sandwiches are hot. Soups are good...nothing out of the ordinary, just consistently good. The sitting area only has 6 tables, so seating could be an issue, but has always been clean. Pricing is similar to other sandwich shops. My only knock on it would be that I like my sandwiches hot, and I have had some that were just warm on the inside. The staff is great too!

This review showed up as me giving one star, and nothing could be further from the truth! Five stars all the way! Whenever I am in this area I always stop and get a holiday turkey sandwich and brownie, and order extra to bring home for lunch the next day! My husband and I both love Earl of Sandwich! We fell in love with it when we lived in Florida, and we're so excited to find one in the Boise area! This is such a fun location! The people are really friendly and helpful, and it is always super clean!
Happy accidents! I came home late (almost 9:00pm) from work one evening to discover food on my door step. I thought the packaging was peculiar (British design) and saw “ Earl of Sandwich”. Never heard of the place nor experienced their food. I brought the order into the house asking my kids who ordered sandwiches….they hadn’t. So, this delightful meal was delivered to the wrong home. It was too late to call the store. I decided to sample the sandwiches, the mac & cheese, the broccoli cheese soup, and cookie. I am pleased to say that the sandwiches were a rare treat among all the bread-laden options of other places. Thank you for misdelilvering! You have a happy new customer. ?
Great place, great selection and fully stocked. I was very impressed with their diverse alcohol selection and wine shelves. I found some alcohol at this location that I've been unable to find most other places around Meridian and Boise.
Been here a couple times; always been a solid sandwich shop & I really have no complaints. Better than subway or Jimmy Johns - for sure.
If you like your food with a TON of salt this is the restaurant for you. Holy Cow was it all salty. Couldn't even eat it.
