Needs spice on the steak. The staff was amazing, the cuts of beef were great, I ordered the all you can eat strip lion for $24, first steak was 16 ounces, second was 10, and I tapped out. They are honest about the all you can eat, before you finish each steak they ask you if you would like another one put on for you. My rice pilaf was under cooked, and the steaks come with minimal seasoning. Our server was great.
Frankly, I don't understand the hype. There was always a long wait at dinner so we went for lunch. We got in without a wait, the gal at the front counter could only be described as "matter-of-fact" if not a bit unpleasant. The waiter was friendly and efficient. The food was OK, but not fabulous. The menu was priced at the high end. We ordered carrot cake to go. It was obviously kept frozen and partially thawed ... Nothing to write home about. Many people said Stockman's was great, my opinion was that it was barely OK.
The steak was some of the best I've had around town. The seasoning was perfect. It was tender and easy to slice into. I went there with my work and we had a phenomenal time. The place was busy, but it was full of servers who treated us with respect and would check on us to refill our drinks and make sure we were taken care of. The sweet potato fries were also great. I would recommend eating here if you're looking for some good seafood and steak.
I brought my family here. I'm from Washington State and they live here. I can say the prime rib was very good but it was swimming in a bowl of beef broth. Like I like to dip my Prime rib with hoarse radish and sauce but this was weird. Then the rolls were like store bought they're not made fresh there you can tell that which is very disappointing with the amount of money you pay for the meal. Portions are plentiful. For the 5 of us it cost 189.00
Great place to eat. Rustic atmosphere. One of our favorite places for whole family. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Pretty much everything on the menu is good. Their sweet potato fries are amazing and they have the best cheese cake in the area. I highly recommend it. FYI it's a popular place so does get really busy, so sometimes there is a wait to get in but that is the only down side.
Starters were excellent. Bread scones to stay with creamed butter were excellent. I had a burger which was a little dry for me but really tasty. Had vegetables and fries which were great. Highlight of the night was huckleberry lemonade and huckleberry cheesecake ... wow they were stunning.
Big place and well staffed. Classic steak house and was very busy at 8:00pm Saturday eve. We were given a warm greeting and seated quickly. We had sirloin steaks with vegetables and potatoes. Steaks were done perfectly and very flavorful. Waitress was very friendly and attentive. Worked very hard for her tables. Things aren’t fancy, but very well done. Wish we had room for the cheesecake! Very enjoyable!
Very friendly staff and the food is great! Would recommend making a reservation to get a table though. Especially on weekends.
Oh. My. Word. SO GOOD! I got the coconut shrimp with sweet potato fries and both were delicious. My friend got the Steak medallions with loaded mashed and the potatoes weren't awesome but the steak was divine!
Stockman's was so good, I made it a point to get the owner's card and to e-mail him. Really, it was that good. People expect excellent food at a steak house. You will not be disappointed at Stockman's. I wish I had more room to have eaten more. Really! We have had some excellent steaks over the years. The ones here are in my top review bracket for steak. You look on TV shows like "Bar Rescue" and find out there are specific industry times when food is supposed to leave the kitchen - and all the scientific business research. Stockman's beat all expectations for fast on getting food to the table. You may think this is a minor thing, but getting a rare or medium-rare steak to the table means you have to get it there fast. Steaks do not get better sitting under a heat lamp. **KUDOS** to Stockman's for swift food to table. (Your team could teach the others how it's done!)
