great food awesome service
During the height of the pandemic, I thought the food was mediocre and overpriced. Decided to try dining in when things started to wind down. The food was absolutely amazing! The fresh food from the grill or oven has the perfect texture. Their bison burger special is by and far a repeat meal for me. Their pizzas are loaded with toppings and quite flavorful with fresh ingredients that make your mouth water even after you are stuffed!Great experience. Definitely recommend.
We have been here on a couple of occasions and both times were not a disappointment. Food portions are large and are delicious. Prices are mid-high range but the quality of the food makes up for that. I have had the smokehouse burgers both times I have come here and both times it was not a disappointment. One of the best burgers I have had in this area. Sweet bacon & pork topped on a juicy burger patty surrounded in fries made for a great dinner.Service has always been excellent and friendly. I would stay away from the pasta. I tried some off of another one of our parties plate and it was as average as pasta could get and slightly off putting. May not have been the bast batch, either way it was not worth it. I feel like there is a rule of thumb at places like this which is to not get pasta at a meat place. Always stick to their specialties and you'll never go wrong. This place is highly recommended.
The food is always great! Pizza is so good. Great place and is a 5 star, this last time I should have given it 4 stars as the girl at the front sitting people didn't listen to anything we had told her. We said we wanted a booth as there was going to be 4 of us. She put us in the bar at I think the smallest table with 4 chairs around it. Our wonderful server we had let us move to the bigger table as soon as it became available. She was so great!!
The waitress was really great, I believe she did her best to accommodate our large party and I must say this place makes an absolutely Fantastic Huckleberry Copper Camel but the food & service were terrible. I wanted to like this place, because the atmosphere is nice but I just couldn’t. Although the establishment was only at half capacity we waited an hour to be seated. I was with a large party and nobody’s food came out at the same time. Everything I ordered (super salty cold steak bites & an awful wedge salad drowned in way too much dressing & a sea of red onion) was gross apart from the two cocktails I had. The ladies room looked & smelled like a war zone. It was a truly disappointing way to spend $130.
Best worst experience :D to go order where the waitress seemed super annoyed to be taking an order & hung up on me before I finished talking. So the order comes out wrong because she didn't let me finish ordering it. It ended up taking about 45 min & two more incorrect orders for them to make an order of fish tacos to go ? HOWEVER, the entire time staff kept checking on me, seeing what I needed, trying to fix the problem, & being very kind. Things go wrong sometimes and that's okay, especially when the establishment is so nice about fixing a problem. Great fish tacos that I will definitely come back for because I know even if there's an issue, they're happy to work through it and don't rest until the customer is 100% happy. Mackenzie River is one of the top places to eat in Idaho Falls. Every time I've eaten here it has been a good experience. While they are famous for their pizzas, don't forget their other options including burgers and more. I recently tried their Ol' Prospector Burger and it was nicely cooked, had a toasted brioche bun, and came with very good crispy fries.
Some of our food was good (Pesto Linguini) others, not so much (California burger). Service was very slow. Most likely won't be back.
People think of MacKenzie's for Pizza. I was drawn here because my wife has a food allergy, and MacKenzie's has a gluten free flatbread option. She had the Greek flatbread with the gluten free option. I had the Italian Chicken Panini. Really good, balanced flavor. I especially like the online menu system!! I was able to delete the tomatoes from my sandwich. (I find tomatoes simply make sandwiches and burgers soggy) My wife was able to get the gluten free option easily. All restaurants should take note!!
This place is definitely worth the hype! My husband and I went out tonight to celebrate a late Valentine's dinner and had the best experience as 1st time visitors! It was a really nice atmosphere with clean bathrooms and sweet servers. We split a large 1/2 chicken, 1/2 pulled pork BBQ pizza and had plenty of leftovers! Thank you guys for such a nice night! We will definitely be back.
