Absolutely the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. They use quality haddock and it’s perfectly fried every time. Complete with mushy peas!Their pot pies are also delicious! I appreciate the potato leek as a vegetarian option.
Delicious food and we liked the private booth areas to eat in. I got a tatty egg (a vegetarian version of the scotch egg), potato leek pie, and the sticky toffee puddy. It was all fantastic and I appreciated having vegetation options. My husband got a scotch egg, the Guinness short rib pie, and a stout float and enjoyed his meal as well.
We started with the Scotch Egg and Banger’s. The Scotch Egg was so so so good! The sausage was incredibly flavorful around the egg and it was crunchy from the panko coating. We loved the mustard sauce as well. The bangers were amazing as well! We loved them all but decided the Benny Brat was our favorite.For our entrees, we had fish and chips and the Guinness Short Rib Pie. When I say the short rib pie was the absolute best thing I’ve ever put in my mouth, I’m not even joking a little bit. It was the best thing on the table by far. The fish were flaky and crispy and had just the right amount of breading. The chips were also super crisp and salted to perfection.We took home a bit of the sticky toffee pudding and I’m so glad I did. It was so good. The sweetness level was perfect and it definitely reminded me of the ones I’ve had in the UK.We loved the atmosphere and guys working. We especially loved when the chef came out and talked to us about the meal. That extra touch was what made this place 5 stars.

Heard about this place and wanted to try it. I visit English pubs frequently, so to have one near would be great. Entered with three of us and saw the seat yourself sign. No tables, no greeting,no one to ask how long to expect to wait, no wait list. “Unfriendly” comes to mind. Therefore, when a table opened up, it was a mad dash/near fight to try and claim it. Finally we did, surrounded by the dirty dishes left from the party that left.( If you wait for it to be cleaned first, you will likely lose it to others). A filthy start. Oh well. After three tries we finally got the somewhat crabby bartender to clean the table. Trips to the bar for drinks and to order food are a hassle. Two bartenders/waiters, overworked, too busy to help and not at all friendly. Fish and chips were very good, rib pie so so. Beer was good, though expensive. Scotch egg was great. An hour later, all three of us had stomach issues, and still feel off a day later. Not sure the cause, but the place seemed dirty, sticky, a bit unkempt. They desperately need someone to bus and clean between party’s. Especially now with virus issues. The place was expensive for the service, or lack thereof, that is offered. Hard to believe that two guys behind the bar are supposed to tend, serve, clean, etc. The sick stomachs have compounded the mediocre overall experience. Seems like a fine place to grab a Guinness, but until the cleanliness, ordering and seating arrangements are improved, we more than likely won’t be back.
My wife and felt the need for a sweet. We liked the atmosphere so we first had a beer. I had the lowest priced beer on the menu, 10 barrell or something like that. It tasted like it well fit the position of the lowest priced beer on the menu. My wife had a margarita. It was from a can (they informed us) and was not a very good one. We then had the stickey pudding and it was great. We were able to get a booth and the quiet was great. If we can get a booth next time we come by we will have a full meal there, and probably try a known brand of beer. We found everyone friendly. They do not offer table service which was somewhat of a disappointment.

Best fish and chips, great location, very cool British Pub and Restaurant. This is our second visit here. The chef was the same and he is wonderful. The first time we had a very rude male bartender, this time we had an even ruder female bartender. With some decent help here you would probably have a lot more customers. Too bad for the owners! They are having so much fun playing they don’t have time to help us or even acknowledge us. And we are great tippers. We all have been there done this.

They also have really good coffee and I liked that they have a coffee/ water station where everyone can help themselves. Staff is extremely nice and helpful.
