Definitely go during the evening for a great time. If you have Bryce behind the bar it’s absolutely guaranteed. However, some of the daytime staff can complicated the night. There have been incidents of certain staff being day drunk while off duty that historically is combative with locals and bar goers or too drunk to stand being at the establishment. Especially when their significant others get into physical altercations at the bar with no general consequences or action followed.
Went on a Monday afternoon service was awful. Took forever to get drinks our bartender didn't know how to make a cosmopolitan. I ordered food; chicken strips, mind you it took almost an hour to get them.. Not impressed with this place. My friend had to go outside on 2 different occasions because she was so upset with how awful and slow the service was.
Unfortunately we probably won’t go back to eat here. Got a caesar salad and burger & beer- bill was $40! The salad was small and nothing special, just a bag mix salad from the store basically and burger was overdone. Staff was super friendly but food was a 1/10, and it was HOT in there. Sad to say we kinda wasted some money.
We love this place. The food and drinks are stellar!!! The bartenders are super cool, waitresses are smokin hot and it's always a great time. Highly recommended if you love fun! If you HATE fun? Go somewhere else
Food was lame, fry's we're cold, bun on my burger fell completely apart while eating it. The "Awful Awful" burger was aptly named. One item didn't arrive till everyone else was done eating. (The waitress did comp it.) They were not even BUSY! THERE WERE FOUR TABLES ON A FRIDAY NIGHT And they were understaffed.
Very casual atmosphere.. Had the Ultimate Grilled Cheese and I have no regrets! The sirloin was great as well. Totally recommend. Laura was awesome; very personable and knowledgeable.
I used to come here back in the late 90's service was great food was good. I've been here twice over the last two years and had bad experiences both times. The first time we were sat and never served so we left after waiting about 40 min. This morning we were sat quickly, I was given a coffee, my girlfriend was not asked or given water. The waitress showed up about 20 min later to take our drink and food order. She seemed disgruntled. Food was ok but we both had serious indigestion after eating. I still feel sick and it's been an hour. There are way too many better options on Sherman to eat here. I'll will never go back to the Iron Horse
I will never go back to The Iron Horse. Horrible service, the nachos were disgusting- Pace Picante salsa- gooey plastic cheese, no onions, beans, guacamole and served COLD! I brought them home and my dog wouldn’t even eat them. Is there a new owner? Cook? What happened to customer service and quality food???
Was not impressed by dinner or service. Wife and I had prime rib special salad was from a bag getting old prime rib was good but not cooked as ordered. Been going here for for 20 years but seems like going downhill .sad to see old icon to go this way .just trying to offer constructive criticism
We had to stop in Coure de Laine, ID due to vehicle problems. Found a nice quiet restaurant with only ourselves as guests. Was wonderfull as we were exhausted from driving so slowly.Great service and they had Gluten Free offerings. Yeah!
