I think that hamburgers need be season little bit bigger serve with fires in my opinion!!!! Other than that thay are good?
A family of 6 2 kids they were so bad we threw in the garbage and went down the street to eat. Don't waste your money
Old time diner with stools at the counter. Very simple menu - burgers and pie. And burgers have onions and pickles and cheese. They have spicy mustard but no yellow mustard. The burgers are good because they are not premade patties and they only cost $3.50 for a single patty. If you just want something simple and cheap this is your place. I noticed many people were surprised at the fact that they don't have fries. Like another reviewer said - you do this once for the experience. And more times if you like to just sit and eat multiple burgers. :)
I wish I could have taken pictures because the prices have gone up by a couple cents for everything. Its cash only, but the burgers are so fresh. Most people in town say they are plain, but pickles, onions, cheese, hamburger, ketchup, hot sauce and spicy mustard make this one of my favorite burgers. The lemon meringue pie and strawberry rhubarb pie looked a couple days old. I wish the staff could take the pies home or donate day old pies so patrons could have the pies fresh too, but that wasn't the case today. The good part about day old pies is the crust is softer, so its easier to ignore it, but the meringue was mostly dissolved into the pie or fell off and the lemon filling was left. Free refills on soft drinks too! The waiter was attentive and our son was very talkative. He told the waiter to wear the merchandise out in the street and that he should tell people "to come get this great merchandise here" That made both the waiter and I smile because most people would think that's too crazy, but having fun can look crazy to anyone.
Hudson's is a CDA staple. They do one thing and they do it well. You get onions, pickles and/or cheese on your meat and that's all you need.Stop in for a burger or two and if you've got a sweet tooth stay for a slice of pie. When the counter is full takeout is best. But any way you can just get a Hudson burger and enjoy the simple pleasure of a fresh made patty and soft Franz bakery bun.
We enjoy a burger for breakfast, and the fact that Hudson's opens early (9:30 am, Tues. thru Sat.) is a bonus. The food is indeed basic, but good (burgers and pie,) and of a fine quality for a non-traditional breakfast. The diner atmosphere was fun, and the other patrons were friendly. Will definitely stop in again when in the area.
