Elmer's is a humble little spot. Some might even say a bit generic. They are also very consistent, always friendly, well priced and the portions are great. The food is exactly what you're thinking it is when you order and we always enjoy our dining there.
Elmer's has become my and my boyfriend's go-to breakfast spot in town. They have the most kind staff, some super yummy food, and great prices. My favorites are the German Pancake, their Eggs Benny's, and their coffee! I really enjoy their whole atmosphere, as you see a lot of family's come here and enjoy breakfast together. If you like classic, American breakfast foods, definitely give Elmer's a try.
The food was great. We have fish and it was tender and flakey. For dessert we order strawberry ? crepes was amazing. It was warm soft strawberry wrap in warm crepes, with sauce. It's was the best warm crepes, I ever had. I will go back to eat.
The food was amazing!!!! The waitress was phenomenal!!!! I went with my friend and her daughter and we had German pancake with ham and eggs, cinnamon roll pancakes and eggs, and potato pancakes with eggs and bacon. The food was delivered hot and delicious the German pancake was perfect, the potato pancakes were to die for, and the cinnamon roll pancakes I have never had before but they topped everything else. The owner is on site which is awesome. The place was very clean and bright. We were seated where we wanted to sit and the people there were great. No problems with our food and I haven’t been to an Elmer’s since they closed them in Boise. Overall the best dining experience I have had between Postfalls and coeur d’alene.
I was pleasantly surprised by this CDA classic. How have I not been there before? Friendly staff, and home cooked food. I had their turkey dinner. I wanted to look in the kitchen to see if my grandma was cooking! Highly recommend. Will be back more regularly.
The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was great. So many choices it was difficult to decide. We ended up ordering the Crabmeat Eggs Benedict w fruit, Clam Chowder and the Crabmeat BLT Salad. All great choices. Looking forward to going back to try one of the many other selections they have to offer.
Worst tasting coffee asked for creamer never got it. Food was cold asked for hash browns crispy that didn't happen. don't waste your time
I was very impressed with both the food and service. There were several unique choices and also some healthier options, which I really appreciated. I ordered the egg white veggie bowl and it was delicious! My husband was also very satisfied with his burger and the food was delivered in a very timely fashion. We will definitely be returning :)
Not sure what happened as we normally have really good food and excellent service here - as my prior reviews note. Yesterday, 11 January, we went in for lunch. There were maybe 11 tables with customers and we were seated pretty quickly. However, once seated no employee came to the table again. No water, no one to take our order, nothing. There were three servers around us, people were seated and taken care of around us. The servers all had the same reaction - we weren't their table. So, after not being able to get anyone even interested in coming to the table, we left. No one even acknowledged our departure - it was surreal, so unexpectedly different than usual.
This place is amazing. Their breakfast is delicious. The servers are attentive and well trained. I had the crabacado omelette and the cinnamon roll pancakes. I think I'm addicted. I will definitely be coming here every time I'm in CDA.
