Just a visitor in Coeur D’Alene for the week and experiencing the local food. This place was amazing! Very kind and attentive staff, and the food was outstanding. Wonderful flavor combinations. Would highly recommend! Hoping to be able to come back and eat here again in the future!
Seeing all the good reviews I had to try this place. I asked them to make me whatever they thought was the tastiest thing on the menu. The really nice man at the counter made a hybrid sandwich for me that was out of this world tasty. Pasta also is amazing as well as the Jamaica drink. So glad to have this place in Coeur d’Alene!
Absolutely phenomenal! Fresh, authentic and great staff! Seriously the best food in CDA! The watermelon ceviche is 5 star!!

Absolutely amazing. First time going and the service was so friendly and inviting. They’re currently doing strictly take out and they’re looking to add more staff (I’m contemplating a career change just to be able to enjoy being around such delicious, well made food) but everything was made in a timely manner! I tried the Peruvian torta and it was jam packed with flavor! Sweet, savory and tangy with a great blend of veggie and meats. Please! If you haven’t tried them, to give it a shot. You’re not going to regret it.
Absolutely fabulous food and service. It's a simple restaurant with only a small amount of seating, but the food is excellent. The owner recommended a cross between one of the sandwiches on special and another one from the menu. It was fantastic! The bread was very fresh and not too thick or heavy, toasted just right, and the sandwich had so many flavors and spice and was not overly heavy. The side salads we got, when with tomatoes and onion and the other with quinoa and other vegetables, along with a side of habanero sauce to dip the sandwiches in, were all delicious. We also splurged and got an aqua fresca drink each, served in a big margarita glass with ice, and that was very tasty and not too sweet. I was very impressed with the food overall, so fresh and delicious. It's a little bit on the pricey side for a sandwich, we ended up spending about $23 per person because we got the side salads and the aqua fresca drink, so it's not cheap per se, but I would say it was worth it. I honestly can't remember having something so tasty for quite a while. And very healthy, which is a little bit hard to come by in North Idaho because there are a plethora of burger restaurants etc but not a ton of options on the healthy side.
Honestly, my mouth waters when I think of this restaurant. We made a quick visit to Coeur d'Alene before we flew out of Spokane. There is a reason for such a highly rated eatery. Simple, clean, the freshest ingredients and the owner has a delightful wit. We all enjoyed the soup of the day, we had various sandwiches and a small salad. What a find! The environment is filled with Peruvian culture and lovely photos. Just a perfect lunch, great service and yummy beyond compare. Don't let the fact that this tiny, magical place is tucked in a Strip Mall, just GO. I promise it won't disappoint.
The best lunch I've had in such a long time. Sooooo flavorful and delicious! The customer service was OUTSTANDING!!! Definitely gained a frequent returning customer!!
The food was incredible! INCREDIBLE! I will surely be going back soon because this may be my new favorite place to get food.The owner was working the counter and when we told him it was our first time there he made sure we got the dish that was best for us. The friend I got lunch with is vegan and they were incredible accommodating. I was impressed with the taste of the food, the friendliness of the staff, and the atmosphere of the restaurant. I would recommend this to everyone!
Not only was the food AMAZING the service was unlike anything I have experienced. As a vegan it can be difficult to find restaurant that accommodate my needs. The owner of this wonderful establishments gave me an my friend his undivided attention while he explain how his menu can be adjusted for any diet including vegan. I recommend this Cafe Carambola 100%.
