Such good food! Such wonderful staff! A cute interior, nice variety and selection of food choices, beautiful presentation. We were even late getting out after closing and they were so nice about it. Never made us feel rushed or even said a word. We were so excited to try this place and it exceeded our expectations. Will definitely be going back, can't wait to try more of what they have to offer.
Delicious soft tofu stew and sushi! Great service, authentic taste and at a reasonable price too. Definitely coming here again!
For $23 dollars you are able to get some darn good sushi. Not the best sushi, but good for being in Idaho. Atmosphere was very pleasant with kind waiters and aesthetic kitchens area. Overall a good sushi place
Really liked the variety of their menu. Service was friendly and fast. I got the hot bimimbop. I wish it had more vegetables and more flavor, but I loved the presentation and crispy rice.My niece got the sushi roll that comes to the table on fire--fun and delicious!
Japanese restaurant server here! I know quality sushi when I taste/see it. Yanaki definitely hits home with quality and presentation! Very affordable and a cute little atmosphere. The server was really nice and attentive. Great little sushi place on vista!
This place is really good! Was recommended by a friend that is a big sushi fan and was not disappointed! From the sushi, to the beer selection and the staff. The place is a must if you’re looking for good sushi in Boise!

Ate there today for lunch. There were @ 4 other tables with people and I got seated fairly quickly and waited on. Ordered the Bento box C chicken. Didn't realize that it came with miso soup, so that was a nice surprise when it arrived @ 15 min. after I ordered. Ate my soup and my food arrived soon after. Started eating and right away the teriyaki chicken was to dry for my taste (don't cut the chicken into so thin pieces). I remedied this by eating it with the coleslaw and that was a nice bite. Then I got into the sushi, and that was where it's at. The salmon was some of the smoothest I've ever had. Hopefully more people from Sakana will check this place out. For 14$ you can't beat that price.
Appetizer was good. Can’t F up sake. Service was good also. Didn’t order food because we wanted good sushi and literally everything on the menu was either deep fried or had imitation crab. Barf. Us bench folk will pay for quality fresh fish… step up your game… think Fujiyama guys and get it together.
Hole in the wall on the outside, beautiful little spot inside. Food was fresh, and big portions.Honestly, this is probably the best sushi spot in boise and it's brand new! Not to mention they have a small but wonderful chilled sake list!
