Westside has always been my favorite burger place… until today. It was the worst! I think the toasted bun was toasted last month. The burger was dry and flavorless. Very disappointed. Not worth the drive or the money.
Great food highly recommended
This has been one of my go to places since I lived in Boise, but this time they disappointed me. Our food took forever and when I started seeing people that came after me get their food I knew there was an issue. They actually served half our meal to the table behind us, then when they returned it they brought it to us. It still took more time and a complaint before the rest of our food showed up. Simple order or a burger and a monte cristo sandwich, I may take a break from stopping here.
Most of the food I have tried here was very good, but especially the chocolate malt shakes....and every other shake they make for that matter.
When my parents announced that they were buying a home and moving to Boise (1,400 miles away from our home), I was NOT a happy camper. And I pretty much stayed ticked off until they dragged me to the Westside Drive In. It’s only a couple blocks from their home, so they had been here a few times already. It instantly put a smile on my face. Even though it was pretty much peak pandemic, everyone working there seemed to be in a good mood. The inside is adorable and so cool. The outside seating area has the same retro vibe as the inside and is very comfortable as well. The menu is, for the most part, a traditional diner menu, but there are plenty of additions for people who want something lighter. The food is great. The service is great. The decor and ambiance is great. This place just makes you smile. That’s the best way to describe it. Although I’m still not thrilled my parents are so far away, I absolutely look forward to hitting up Westside every time I’m in town.(Can’t forget - the Famous Idaho Ice Cream Potato is a MUST ORDER. Thank me later ?)
So many choices! Super yummy food! Big portions and great drinks. Love the shakes, staff are friendly. Always a great visit and we travel from Ontario sometimes 3 times a week to eat here because it’s so yummy!
Got an amazing baked potato here. So hard to find a baked potato for lunch in downtown bosie. It was loaded with veggies and I added some cheese and sour cream. My only disappointment is that they didn't have fresh real sweet tea. I will go here again.
Their fish sandwich is killer. Big hunk of crispy fish with melted cheddar cheese, chopped lettuce, pickles and sauce on a big sesame seed bun. Chef's ?
This place has the old school dinner vibe and feel. Real worth the price for the portions. Has great milk shakes and well prepared food. I lived in Boise for 40 plus years and finally found time to try this place out. It is well worth it to know the staff care about the customers and will help you understand the products they service. Look forward to spending more time at this company.
