We called ahead and was quoted 45-60 minutes. I do love that you can call ahead and be added to the list, makes it easier when you have little ones in tow. We arrived a couple minutes before the 45 minute mark, but then had to still wait 'til about 65 minutes. Staff that was seating everyone had no patience and was short with us if we asked questions. When I was just looking at the wait list from the front counter I was told to sit down, but a large group had came in and there was no room yet for me to move back to my seat, I wasn't intentionally standing in their way to check in. The front entrance is really tight. Our waitress didn't remember requests for things such as a lemon for our drinks etc. She also forgot to have them cook one of our teenage daughter's meals, so we all got our food and she didn't. We shared our food until hers came out. I really love the dutch baby. I would recommend going to Lehi UT location if you love this restaurant chain. I won't be back to this one. For the cost and what we got it was disappointing.
Had breakfast at the Original Pancake House today. We had 30 minute wait not due to available tables but, the lack of staff. Our waitress was rude and sharp. I think she was overloaded. She was rude to the man cleaning the tables and things got real loud. He was yelling at her stating, don't treat me like that. Get away from me. It was pretty scary. It took about 30 minutes to get our food. My hubby ordered biscuits and gravy as a side dish. He ask another waitress about it and she said, it's not on the ticket. My hubby stated, I ordered it. She said, I'll bring one out. Both waitresses were rude and stressed. The building is old and the place is loud but, on a good note, the food was good. My hubby enjoyed his food. The waffle was great. Not sure if I'll ever come back to the restaurant but, the food was good.
Breakfast is my favorite meal. Everything at Original Pancake House is exactly what you want in a traditional American dinner style breakfast. The staff is really really kind and proficient at their jobs. Love this place. And of course the pancakes are perfect!
Great pancakes and excellent service!! I passed by to pick up my food for our child; they don’t do kids' meals to go, FYI. Highly recommend any pancakes especially the ones based off our buttermilk pancakes!
The Dutch Baby was SO good with lots of lemon and butter ? It looks huge but it's pretty thin so its not too much for one person.
The staff are warm and friendly. They have a good selection of breakfast items that range from omelets to pancake inspired dishes. On my first visit, the eggs were slightly over cooked and the butter milk pancakes had a slight yeast like aftertaste. Overall the experience was very good.
I’m so mad forgot to take a picture of the food! It was amazing I live in Washington and will definitely make this a routine stop. I got the Pancakes and eggs best of the best hands down!!! Don’t question going anywhere else for breakfast!
I always appreciate a good breakfast restaurant. And this one is no exception. Not too fancy and not too plain good quick customer service clean and good hours. The prices are just what they should be and the food is good. If you're coming through Boise this is a good stop.
Really good pancakes and large variety. The coconut pancakes were really good and so was the coconut syrup.
I had the Dutch Baby with a side of bacon and sausage. It was tasty, but the Dutch baby would have been better with a little more attention to flavor. My date had the biscuits and gravy and the gravy seemed to have been made with milk or cream that was past its date. That or the gravy was day old and needed to be tossed. Maybe just stick to the pancakes here?
