I recently came here for the first time and I just have to say this is such a fantastic hidden gem of Boise. I had the teriyaki beef plate and spam musubi. The beef was wonderful and the musubi was better than what I have had in Hawaii. All ingredients were fresh and the place looks VERY clean. Great service as well. I will be telling everyone I know about this food stand.
Japanese omelet rice. Yummi. A little too sweet for me but still delicious. You love ketchup? This is for you.Spam musubi always great. Butter mochi deelish. Priced well. Just a few more options to drink like reg bottled water. Otherwise. Super nice owner and fast.
Me & my boyfriend love this spot! It’s close to where we live so it’s an easy choice when we don’t feel like cooking & we’ve never been disappointed. Quick, great portions & prices & Consistent! *Updated*Had the garlic fried rice.....so darn good. Didn't make it out of the car. Smelled and tasted delicious. Will get again when available.Loco was great. Hot spam musubi seasoned right with soft rice and not too salty seaweed. Japanese curry with vegetables and meat with an intoxicating smell. The only 2 things about the curry IMO (1) add one more scoop of rice worth an upcharge (2) little more veg or meat in sauce but absolutely delicious. Not one drop of gravy was left. I will definitely be back to try ALL of the dishes. Fast and friendly service. Reasonable prices. Easy pay and check out. Wore a mask while preparing I appreciated it! Mahalo!
This little eatery checks all of the boxes. Local, affordable, good portions, delicious, friendly service, made with care. They have pagers so you can wait for your order in your car, if you'd like. I will recommend Ono Bento to friends and family and I look forward to coming back to eat again, soon!
I have been interested in trying this place since it first popped up. I took my daughter to lunch here today. We ordered a teriyaki chicken plate, spicy hibachi chicken plate, spam musubi and some butter mochi. Everything tasted so good. If you are in the area, I would 100% recommend stopping by for a meal. I can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu.
I love this place. Quick, friendly service and he even knows my order when he sees me..haha. I have only tried the steak and chicken bbq platter and the garlic shrimp. So delicious and tender, cooked to perfection. The bbq sauce is amazing. I am going to try everything on the menu though..sometime.

Great little spot. Friendly staff. Good food. My family tried six different dishes and every one was great though the butter mochi had to be the highlight. Asked for some extra heat on my entre and they weren't shy about spicing it up.
The food here is amazing. It is my favorite place. My brother and I are obsessed and it fills me up every time!! It’s a super good price for the amount of food you get and I’ve tried multiple items and they never disappoint. I don’t come across places this good very often. If your looking for a sign to eat here, here it is!!!
