Excellent veggie and chicken momos! My sister and I love this place! The people are friendly and the food is consistently delicious!
Whenever I swing through Boise for work or fun, I make a point of stopping here once during the trip. The food is fantastic, and the owner is kind and so willing to chat or make alterations to the dish to suit different folks. Seriously, there is something for everyone and I always leave full and happy. I have introduced many folks to this place’s great food and plan to be back again soon :)
I don't know what planet that person came from giving Momo's cafe a one star review for their chicken tika masala, like are they crazy?!!! I've been coming here since I moved from Detroit, and it reminds me of the authentic spots I've been to back home.. Their butter chicken is to die for!! They're very busy for their size restaurant, I can see why because their food is delish =).. Please support your local places, it's been rough since Covid, I wouldn't want them to go out of business, because authentic Indian food is hard to find here in Boise!
Pretty neutral on this one- I ordered online and walked in to pick up, and they seemed confused even after gave them my name and food. No big deal. The momos were alright, although I've had better in New Hampshire (which I'm pretty sure is a bit further than Boise from Nepal). Naan was delicious. I became pretty sick to my stomach after eating, but I won't take points off for that.Overall, a bit overpriced and odd.
Normally we order Indian food from a place called "spice" in Meridian because I've never had it's equal, but my girlfriend was in a pinch tonight and she wanted Inidan food, and she couldn't get Spice. I didn't even want any. Reluctantly she ordered from this place.Horrific, the Lamb with sauce looked like canned dog food, smelled like it, and it tasted like I imagined dog food would taste like.I even opened a can of my dog's food to compare, spot on, save for the dog food seriously smelled more edible. The Nan bread I believe was pita bread. The appetizers were these small atrocious green things as if they rolled up sickly leprechauns and fried them.Even the rice was gross. How can one mess up rice? Uncle Ben's is better.Waste of money, super irritated. My girlfriend's food was on par with the disgutometer level of my food.We threw it away. What I also know are places that cook this badly and serve this badly never make it right with customers, its always someone else's fault.Almost 70 dollars down the drain.I RECOMMEND "SPICE" in Meridian for your Indian food. They will not serve you something the likes of dog food.Oh and from what I did try I got sick to my stomach. Maybe not so bad. The vomit would taste better.
Good food and good service. The butter chicken is very very sweet though, almost like having dessert, which was a bit rich for dinner. The flavor was great though.
Great food and prices. Sad I haven't tried it before but I will be back for sure!
We couldn’t recommend this highly enough! Raj has become a friend to our family over the years of eating here and no other place tastes quite as good!
This was the worst Indian food I have ever had. I am a NY native visiting. Thought I’d try to take out. It was so watery. They didn’t use basmati rice. They might as well just Chinese take out or something. I hate that I wasted my money on this. The Nan had no garlic and was too thick.
We appreciate how protective they are being with covid and safety measures. Plus the food is delicious!
