I tried their take-out since it is a convenient location on the way home from work. I went in to order and didn't mind waiting. The menu is pretty short for a Chinese restaurant. As I was waiting, I noticed 6 tables in the empty restaurant, that hadn't even been cleared. This seemed off. I took home the box she packed with my order. In the car it was impossible to keep the soup secure and the lid on. I could have used a deeper box, for sure. The hot and sour soup was incredibly bland. My husband thought it was old. We threw most of it out. The egg rolls were fine and came with mustard. Lemon chicken was uninteresting, just chicken and sauce. The order was small and overpriced. I don't recommend this, however convenient.
We came here for lunch a couple of weeks ago. The food, service, and atmosphere were very good. We ordered take-out and we're quite disappointed. The portions were much smaller? The appetizer platter was 90% dough? The chicken was way over cooked? Not sure we'll go back?
Just wanted some old school Chinese and hadn't been here for awhile.Should have gone somewhere else.We were the only ones in place but 4 tables hadn't been cleared and weren't until we done.I had the special chow mein at it was hard to find the pork for all the celery which made it bitter.Hubs had the #2 fried rice, sweet and sour pork. The pork looked freezer burned and he said the coating was tough.Sad they used to have good food.
First time I've eaten there in decades. It's still the same! Good food, great price, and friendly staff. It's like a time capsule. And that's a good thing ?
My husband and I have eaten there several times. We order the same dishes when we go. The last time we dined-in our, dishes were good with the exception of cucumbers. When we have ordered here in the past, they always had zucchini in them and this time it was English cucumbers. It was odd to both of us. We asked the waitress about it and she told us it has always been cucumbers. We expressed our surprise as we have never had cucumbers in the food before and if they had ever served it that way we would have never ordered it again. She let us know that Chinese stir fry comes with many vegetables and always cucumbers. I’m not sure why she argued. I’m not sure why cucumbers seemed a good substitute for zucchini. What I am sure of is that we won’t be back.
The happy family was nothing like described on menu owner tried to tell me it was a vegetarian dish probably because it was all celery and carrots no shrimp one literally (3) slivers of chicken and not even the essence of pork. The Mongolian beef was over fried under cooked noodles and tasted like a salt lick. This is how they treat their carry out customers I guess and when I called to express my issues I was told that it’s supposed to be like a lot of veggies in it which is odd because it’s described with seafood and meats but only had vegetables in it.
Went to this restaurant at 8pm (they close at 10pm). We ordered a family special with Crab Ragoon as an appetizer. The crab ragoon was cold, the cream cheese filling solid; it was not even warm to the touch. The pork fried rice was cold, the sweet and sour pork was cold; the chow mien was the only thing warm, as the noodles were burnt. The sweet and sour sauce was only on a small portion of the sweat and sour pork. It appeared what we were served was items prepared earlier in the day and we got the left overs. Absolutely would not recommend this to anyone.
The food is fine it's your typical American Chinese. Bathrooms need some work. Our waiter was a little rude at first but service improved a bit once we ordered.
It's been a long time since I had eaten here so I wanted to give it another shot. And I should have stayed away. I placed a takeout order and the wait was insanely long. It took over an hour for me to receive my food. They were extremely disorganized. When I did receive my food, it was barely warm. The broccoli beef had plenty of meat and broccoli, but the beef was chewy and under-sauced. The Mandarin chicken was more fried batter than chicken. The sauce wasn't too bad though. And the fried rice was pretty tasty. There was no apology for the wait and the food was mostly subpar. That's what I get though. I hope I don't have stomach issues.
Customer service is amazing. Owner treats us like family and we've have never had any issues. (we've been going there for over 6 years). The mandarin chicken is my kids (and one my!) favorites. We get it every time and he won't eat it anywhere else. The food is always served quickly with has great quality. Couldn't ask for a better local place to visit.
