Great food and awesome service
I'm sitting at the restaurant eating a second serving of garlic bread because that's how amazing it is.First off, the ambience is very nice. It is the restaurant for the chatter but there is not annoying music in the background so it's perfect. The waitresses are extremely busy but are handling their orders very well! The amount of plates they can carry is amazing. ?Second, shoutout to Dahlia for her amazing service. Not only is she beautiful but she knows how to treat a customer right. She recommended a wine that I enjoyed more than I should've. Would've had a second but I'm alone so ?♂️Third, the rosemary buttery bread with the olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette mix was a very interesting appetizer! I have never had quite something like it. It hit my digestive system and I'm like "Oh boi, my stomach has a hard time recognizing the vinaigrette" having never tried it but it tasted very good, quite a twist to an appetizer if you ask me.Fourth and foremost, the baby I came for. The lasagna. This was the holy grail and I was not dissapointed. The cheese ontop was downright melty and so gooey, of perfect consistency. It was so hot I burnt my tongue three times before I stopped to analyze the pain going on, that's how good it was! I loved the seasoning as well, I didn't desire to add a dash of salt of my own.My favorite part? The garlic bread, hands down. Oh my goodness, so crispy, garlicy and buttery. It was also my dessert at the end, I asked for another piece. ? Happy to say that I will be back once again to see Dahlia's beautiful smile and grab another plate of lasagna with a lot more garlic bread! Thank you Luciano's for an amazing experience! ?
Absolutely wonderful experience! The food, ambience and service was impeccable!!Great wine list!! There is always a waiting list for a table here, but the wait is well worth it. Reservations are not accepted. You may dine at the bar if seating is available, but I suggest you wait for a table as the bartender is very busy serving all of the drinks for the restaurant and it is a bit hectic at the bar. Enjoy!
Very cosy place. Amazing atmosphere, great friendly staff. We had the spinach artichoke appetizer - it was really really good and very cheezey. I had the chicken marsala with fettuccine. It was OK but needed more sauce or flavor. I tasted my friends lasagna it was very good better than most. We had the carrot cake flavor bread pudding with Ice cream and caramel. Very good. Spicy nutmeg carrot cake flavor. Did I mention friendly staff especially - Dahlia very informative and helpful.
We tried this restaurant because someone had given my husband a gift card. The parking lot was full, so we used the overflow next door. We had a short wait for a table and reviewed the menu. It was hard to decide, because so many items sounded good. They serve a lot of seafood dishes, which is not common in other Italian places in the area. I chose salmon over ravioli and my husband had the seafood fettuccini alfredo. Both yummy, but so rich not something you could eat frequently. I tried the fruit crisp of the day, Strawberry rhubarb, which was good with the vanilla gelato. It was hard to find strawberries among the rhubarb, though. Maybe they cooked down to sauce. Our food was served piping hot and it stayed that way. Their herbed bread is good, but I would have preferred roasted garlic with the olive oil dip instead of balsamic vinegar.
I ordered online, on a Tuesday afternoon, and had to wait at the restaurant for almost 30 minutes for my food. The food was good. When I was given my check, they had added an automatic 15% gratuity, amounting to over $5.00, to my charges. I refused to pay this. I changed the ticket amount, in ink, and signed and dated the change, to include the amount for my food and a $1.00 tip. It was a carry-out, after all. The manager on duty assured me the 15% would be taken off. However, on my bank statement the next day, Luciano's had charged me the full amount! It took two phone calls and a conversation with another manager to get that charge removed. Do not go to Luciano's unless you are willing to be charged an automatic 15% gratuity, even for a take-out order. No other restaurant in Boise does this, to my knowledge. You can get just as good Italian food a lot cheaper at other Boise restaurants.
Amazing service by Jennifer. Prompt and friendly gave great recommendations and the food was mighty flavorful. Meatballs were perfection
Three of us visited for the first time. We had no reservation and were told the wait would be 20 - 30 minutes. Our wait was less than 15 minutes. Our server was excellent. We had three different pasta dishes that were very tastey. The portions were very large. The restaurant was very crowded but not too loud or noisy. The prices were very reasonable and I would say the entire meal was a very good bargain. The three of us left very full, satisfied with a good traditional Italian style restaurant with great service.
