We tried out Lindy‘s tonight after hearing from other people that it was a good place to eat. My steak came out cold, way over- cooked, unseasoned… Basically inedible. We already waited for food for almost an hour and there was no way I was going to wait for them to re-cook it. The veggies were also cold. $26 for a meal that I could only eat the potato off of. When the server saw that I didn’t eat anything on the plate she didn’t even ask if there was something wrong, just gave us the check Really crappy experience and now have to go get another dinner somewhere else

Lindy's never disappoints for great food and cold beer! Every time I have been there my food is fresh and definitely large portions, something that can be hard to find these days. They are famous for their finger steaks always tender and cooked to perfection. Last time I had a Reuben with salad also fantastic! Conveniently located between Meridian and Boise off of Chinden make Lindy's your first choice for your next meal out. Did I mention the service? Fast and friendly and if you cant decide..let the staff chose for you. You wont be sorry

I really wanted to love this place. Food was cold. Steak was thin and really small for $27. Veggies were actually still frozen. Halibut was really small and dry. It was just really bad for $81 for 2 meals. Waitress was great. Food was so disappointing. Our second time, and last time.

I wish zero stars was an option. The giant black hair in my food was the last straw. The waitress was awful with a really bad attitude. Told me I should have noticed how busy she was when I reminded her she never returned with cheese and butter for my lukewarm potato. I’d get better service at McDonalds. Better food too. Don’t waste your time with this place.

Wow!!!! that was the strangest experience I have ever had at a restaurant. The waitress complaining about the work, took my order and disappeared the entire time. The bartender appears and brings my undercooked steak, How do I get more heat on my steak? Bring it to the kitchen myself and ask to cook it more?!?I had to open the kitchen door in order to get my check, paid the bartender, who started "I don't know where your waitress is. Signed the check, the waitress appears and says "I'm sorry"!.. Why would someone apologize after knowing they completely neglected you as a food server?(Because she was in PRISON!) Let me guess COVID is clouding her brain!?!?!

We were seated pretty quickly and the servers were working as fast as they could. They offer a Caesar salad with chicken or shrimp. Not steak. This is a steakhouse. I asked if I could get some steak on the Caesar. No. Apparently they were too busy. I ordered a Caesar with chicken. The chicken in the salad was good. The salad was swimming in dressing. My brother ordered a steak. It was cooked properly but wasn’t a very nice piece of meat. Based on other reviews I might try this restaurant again, but we had pretty mediocre meal. But boy did those servers try.

Normally when we go in, the service is great and the food is delicious. Not tonight. We were seated and it took 10 minutes to even get our water. We knew what we wanted so we were ready to order quickly. Three other couples came in after us and the last one that was seated, the waitress began taking their order after they had just sat down. Clearly the young gal was a bit overwhelmed, but clearly she was taking care of known customers first regardless of when they arrived. Needless to say, we walked out without even having a chance to order and will probably never be back.

Extremely disappointing steak and lousy service! The salad was only lettuce and a bit of red cabbage. No tomato, cucumber or even a little shredded carrot. But, it did have a large peppercini on the side. Why?!?Although there was only another couple in the entire restaurant, we waited for way too long to get the steak. The steak we ordered, which was the 12 Oz. Ribeye, was supposed to be Medium-Rare, was brownish gray, without any signs of red and not a single drop of blood on the plate.I assume it was precooked, refrigerated or frozen, and was warmed in a microwave. Or maybe dipped in hot au jus. It was definitely not made to order!!!The waitress did not come even once to ask if everything is okay, and did not care less if we were happy or not.I suggest you stay away from this so-called steakhouse!!!

I've heard so much about the finger steaks at Lindy's and glad we finally tried them. They were great as far as finger steaks go. The restaurant was busy for lunch and there was only one server working but she was really fast and efficient and everyone was taken care of and happy! The menu is old school with lots of "lounge" choices. And lots of fried foods. The prices are great! We enjoyed the finger steaks and fries, chicken strips and onion rings and a tall frosty beer. It was old and basic but really clean. Enjoyed it!

Went there for the first time yesterday for my birthday. No one at the door to greet and seat. Only 2 other groups eating there, (that should've been a clue.) Ordered steaks, fingersteaks and shrimp. Steaks were bland but the fingersteaks and onion rings were overcooked and way too salty. For the prices they charge I expected the food to be amazing. Sorry we won't be returning.
