Location is easy to get to. Store front is clean. The food, in my opinion is not like New York food. I grew up there and have had better. The staff was not that friendly either. I ordered a stromboli and a Sierra Nevada and he opened the beer and placed it sternly on the counter and walked away and said nothing after I said thank you. Maybe they were having a bad day but it ruined it for me. I will not be going back.
Best pizza ever. In the history of ever. I couldn't even wait to get home to eat a slice of my pizza. I ate a slice in my car in the parking spot out in front of the restaurant. Burnt my mouth and it was worth it!!!
Excellent pizza- Many choices & fast service
Having never been to NY to try their style of pizza for comparison purposes, this was still some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. And I’ve had plenty. By the slice we tried the Basil, Guido’s and pepperoni. The crust was light and tasty without too much crunch, the sauce was mild and not overbearing so you could taste the “whole pizza” and it was fresh. Some In our party like ranch (I know…I know) to dip but the closest they have is a garlic sauce. From the reviews at our table it was a fantastic substitute. Give them a try next time you are in downtown Boise and need a pizza fix.
The pizza is pretty good, but when my good was ready they put it in a to-go container and left it on the counter, i was dining in and they didn't notice the mistake until I asked how long until it was gonna be ready. Luckily the food was still warm.
Sadly Guido's is not the same anymore the crust is thick and hard to eat. We ordered a large pizza and the pizza was like folded over cause it wouldn't fit in the box...Their customer service has gone out the window....
I live on the Boise Bench so I am close to a lot of places to buy good pizza, but I'd rather drive downtown, find parking and pick up a few slices to take home - on top of a slice to eat at Guido's. It's their thin crust, the smiles and the manager who recognizes me as a regular customer.
Do you Love New York style pizza? Do you want the best pizza in town? Are you concerned about the price? Go to Guido's. You can get slices for super cheap heck you can even get a 20 inch pizza for a very minimal amount of money. Not to mention the fact that every single solitary employee at Guido's are absolutely awesome, not only are they excellent at their job but they are extremely helpful and kind and patient and they would be more than happy to suggest the type of slice that you might enjoy the most. 10 out of 10 I recommend them.
The best pizza in town, I probably go there about once a week if I'm being honest. & I have to give a shout out to Avery for ALWAYS having the best & MOST consistent pizza! Her pizza with garlic dressing is my heart & soul <3
Solid NY style pie. By the slice or otherwise.Good service.
