The temperature was over 100 at 6pm, so we decided to do take out. Online ordering was easy. Fork is downtown with no dedicated parking, so we were glad to see that metered street parking was free for the first 20 minutes. Our food was waiting for us, prepared as we ordered, and delicious. There were plenty of folks dining in the shaded outdoors under the misters.

Busy restaurant with a wait. We had a BAM Sammy, Looked good but the bacon was burnt. The Rosemary-Parmesan Idaho French Fries were a bit soggy. The Asparagus dish had too much Chili in it, you couldn‘t taste the asparagus anymore. The Idaho Rainbow Trout was good, however. Service a bit slow, but it was a busy evening. All in all ok food, but nothing stood out.

Founded on farm to table principles, Fork is good at that. The difficulty of getting a table speaks to that.Local sources, freshness, with routine. If that's all you need, it's great. What I was missing is the flavor. Fresh and good ingredients want to be cared for, so the diner can experience them right. Cut back on the sugar please. If I want dessert brussel sprouts, I'll order dessert; the ones we got were too sweet to offer any other flavor.Idaho rainbow trout was fresh but bland, sorry. Where were the herbs? And thank you for the flowers that line the patio.

We stopped in the restaurant to grab a quick drink and quick snack after a long day of travel. Like everywhere in Boise - the people were just great. Bartenders were fun and attentive all while being VERY busy. The salads were great - many of the dishes were appealing - but if you have one "don't miss" it's the warm butter cake! Good heavens - that was a real treat!

The food was fine but nothing stood out to me as special, especially considering that this is one of the best-rated restaurants in Boise. We waited over an hour - about 75 min - for food to arrive which wasn't a great experience.

The hostess staff greeting the guests were super rude.
