Wow! The pot pie and lasagna are incredible! The gentleman who was working was also so kind, helpful, and fun. 10/10 recommended and will be back.
I picked up a small take and bake chicken lasagna, and it was fabulous. You can taste the fresh ingredients with every bite. I also tried the Almond Croissant Bread Pudding and it was just amazing! I devoured it before I realized I didn't take a picture. This place is the real deal. Authentic Italian food.
WOW! WOW WOW! I read the reviews for the food and they were spot on really good & delicious! We fed 4 adults with the 6 piece lasagana and we each had a 2nd helping... We were all stuffed after the 6 piece lasagana and 1 large salad and a small baguette.. and no one was left hungry I like that portions were right sized and we all had desert all for $40.00 .. tell me where else that you can find a meal and great prices like that.... What stood out for me on top of the food were the folks working there. What a wonderful fun experience we had just spending a few minutes with them while they were wrapping up our order. Such genuine loving caring people! Thank you for the wonderful food and visit we had with you! Top notch Best of Boise!!
The 6 piece pan is 8 inches by 8 inches. That's a real stretch to call that 6 servings. A normal serving size for lasagna is about 4x4, so at best that's a 4 serving pan for $24. We had the Italian sausage and mushroom pan and a chicken and spinach. Not bad, but also not spectacular. If you're looking for boutique prices and mediocre tasting small servings, this place is perfect. I will say that the prep was fast, and staff great, but I'm also trying to not lose sight of the star of the experience, too. And that left more than of of us saying we were still hungry.
I thought this place was going to be something else.... its cramped and has 100 photos around the entire eatery (a serious shrine seems like) to whom i think is the founder or owners father?? Either way... its wayyy to much. The counters are littered with old old memorabilia and the only table inside is covered with random printed t-shirts for purchase. The bread we got was not warm and very oily. There were a few flies in the glass case (although everything in case was wrapped so that was good). The owner was extremely distracted when we were trying to order and got very flustered by talking to the other two ladies in the back. You could tell he was annoyed by them. We ended up only ordering the bread cause everything else was take to bake at home... and we wanted a hot meal. I dont think i could recommend this place.
Upon arrival, this place reminds me so much of a small delicatessen you would see in central Italy. Amazing service, sandwiches, and desserts. The Cucina Caprese sandwich is fantastic. The grilled Brie & Merlot wine jelly is literally outstanding. The chunky vegetable lasagna is great. And let’s not forget they make an incredible Pumpkin Charlotte. I haven’t tried everything, but I’ve tried enough to not only recommend this place, but keep coming back for more.

I had very high hopes but was very disappointed. The lasagna pasta in the take and bake was not cooked at all. I had put it in my oven for about 30-40 minutes but it still didn't cook. I know it wasn't my oven cause I have a good oven I just think the lasgna pasta itself wasn't boiled correctly. Bummed.
