It had been like 8 months since our last visit. Why did we wait so long? This place never disappoints. Bacon wrapped shrimp on a sizzling skillet, and cold MIcheladas.Service was stellar. The gentleman was on top of everything. We will be returning soon. If you've never been, it's a great place.
We love Corona village. Food is always good as well as service. But tonight when they took us to our table I had to wipe the seat off before I could sit down. The menu was very dirty with salsa on the pages. The young man bussing tables dropped a glass and ice went everywhere along with the straw and lemon. He didn't bother to clean it up until one of the waitresses told him too. His remark was, "It will melt." My husband dropped his credit card under the table and it was very dirty. The food was still very good but cleanliness was a little off tonight.
The food was great, as always. The service was a little slow but we were not in any hurry. If you are looking for authentic Mexican food then Corona Village is your place.
Javier and his wife have a top notch restaurant! Not only is this place always hopping’, the food is fantastic, and the wait staff even better.I fell in love with jalapeño pineapple margaritas last summer, and while one was not on the menu, Javier took the time to make it for me. :)Next time you’re in, just ask him for the Margarita Erin!
We happened to be in this area of Boise and decided to give a try. . I had read reviews and even though it is down the list of Mexican restaurants it was excellent. It was clean and everyone working was great. I only wish this was closer to where we live. The rice was light and fluffy, the refried beans creamy and the enchiladas great. We actually thought the food was probably the best of all we have had and we have had a lot. Even though it was noon they were able to accommodate everyone quickly. The servings were large and I felt underpriced. In this time of inflation they should probably increase them.
Wow! We're from out of town and this place was amazing! I am so glad we came here, the food and service were outstanding. I will definitely be going back here when we come back
Food is always amazing. My kids even love it. My only regret is not trying them sooner. Ive lived close for 5 years and just went there for the first time 6 months ago.
I ordered takeout for the first time, picked two of the popular dishes - carne asada burrito and pollo a la crema. I expected a lot seeing the avg 4.5 stars but it was underwhelming. I’d give it a B/B-.The pollo a la crema was a styrofoam tub of bland sour cream tinted yellow with chicken pieces. It was just not what I was expecting, nothing special. The carne asada burrito: on the positive side it had fresh tasting steak pieces; on the negative side, the burrito was 90% rice (a way to cut costs vs 90% meat), so that was lame.I can’t speak for their other dishes, but the two I picked left a LOT to be desired — it felt cheap to get about 1/4 cup of steak and chicken for a $38 meal.
Best authentic Mexican food restaurant in the Boise area!
