I was impressed with this sandwich shop. Most sandwich shops are pretty ho hum, but this one includes more exotic fare, including my favorite capicolla ham. I rarely find it in the Boise area. I had it on focaccia bread which tasted locally made, and got it with the standard accompaniments, though i added a little italian dressing the way they made it in Pittsburgh. It was lovely and had just the right balance of vegetables to meat, and wasn't so full that i couldn't get it in my mouth. My husband got the egg salad and he said it was as good as he could make, which is high praise for him. We both got the "a little bit more" for $14.85 which is a full sandwich, soup or salad bar, apple or orange, chips and a drink. Neither one of us could eat more than half of our sandwiches or our chips and had to save our cookies for later. Great value for money in our opinion.
Price: $14 for a 8" .. $20 for 12"... Enough said.Taste: Ordered a meatball sub and was very average.Portion: small sandwich, if I could afford two I'd be full.Ambiance: one of the coolest restaurants I've been inside of, in Boise. Everything is a beautiful dark wood stain. Carved wooden sculptures about the store, very neat.Service: would give a 5 star if my system was solely based on this category. Great employees at the time of my visit. We had a good time.
Stopped by this place on a whim. I think the quality honestly depends on what day, time, and who is making it. But despite that, the food is absolutely fantastic. One of the best sandwich shops I’ve ever been too. I love the atmosphere, the feel of the place, the employees are great and polite, and that sandwich sourdough bread is phenomenal.
A lot of money for a sandwich that had a smear of tuna! I saw their picture on FaceBook and looked forward to trying it. Their picture showed a good amount of tuna, I barely got tuna flavored bread. There was a good inch and a half to two inches at the ends that were tuna free, and a good 1/2 inch tuna free on the sides, but realistically the sandwhich was pretty much tuna free. So bummed! I know it was one person (but I tend to think it's policy). I hope not, I hope others get at least close to what they would call a tuna sandwhich. It's not likely to look like their picture!
The service is fantastic, the sandwiches are great, chips and fruit to add. Enjoy sitting inside the place, the atmosphere welcoming.
Been wanting to get into Cobbys for awhile. It was my first time there and the employee recommended the turkey with guac. Very good! Bread was awesome and it's obvious the ingredients are fresh. Not a full 5 star due to high prices (8 inch sandwich was over 11 dollars) and the tacky begging for tips when you run your card. I'll go again when I want a great sandwich and pay cash. Bottom line: really good but expensive
Solid Sandwich Shop in Boise. Better than hitting a chain fast food shop. Anytime there is an Ian Johnson jersey on the wall is a good sign. Had the French Dip, it was great and I like things that are great.
Was expecting a higher quality french dip sandwich than fast food chain. Would've probably have better experience with a standard regular sandwich and soup. . Customer Service was rough, tough, and abrupt. Aggressive,
25 weeks pregnant and I absolutely needed soup today. I stopped by Cobby’s and had the potato bacon soup with fresh sour dough bread. It was amazing! Delicious and hearty. Fabulous for this fall day. Will definitely be back.
This is a classic sandwich shop. The bread is fresh, the portions of meat are fair as is the price. You have options to choose how big a sandwich and add soup or salad if you desire. A small bag of chips & fresh fruit are also included with your order. I can't see why anyone would go to one of the national chain sandwich places if there was a Cobby's near by.
