Love this down-home, old school, home-cooked joint. Friendly service and good value!

Great guy, great brisket. I’ll be back to try the wings!

Growing up in the South, I've been craving *good* *authentic* BBQ in the Treasure Valley for years. That craving was met and EXCEEDED as soon as I found Brother Brown's. Carlas has the best BBQ around. Hands down! Not to mention, he is incredibly personable, kind, and honest. I ordered catering for 80 people over the summer-- I'd originally ordered way too much food. Carlas took time to review my order and make suggestions on how to cut back. It ended up being the perfect amount of food for my event AND saved me over $100. Brother Brown's is the place to go for all your BBQ needs :)

The bbq is sub par you can do better by getting Walmart bbq

Some of the best food I had had in awhile. Great prices and amazing atmosphere.

By far the best BBQ in the Boise area. For years I have been trying to find barbecue in Idaho that compared to some place you would find in the south and I finally found it. This is the first place I have eaten at that has compelled me to write a review let alone a five star review. If I could give it a 10 out of 5 I would. I hope that everybody reading this try's it at least once you wont regret it

Found it on google. Went in excited to get some southern brisket and ribs. No brisket available. Asked for some ribs by the lb. Said they had two lbs left. Asked what kind of ribs and how much. Server didn't know. Came back and said they had small ones and large ones. I said id take em. Then was told they would have to defrost them??? A bbq place without brisket that needs to defrost their ribs to serve them. I politely declined and left sad. Waste of $2 for parking. Gave two stars instead of one since in all fareness, i didnt get to try any food. Maybe, when it is available and fresh, it is good.

Though it's a bit tricky to find, Brother Brown's Underground is well worth the effort. Located in the basement of the El Korah Temple downtown, the mood is laid back, the decor is simple, the service is fantastic, and the food outstanding. A modest menu to be sure, but the flavors of the offerings are beyond great. The collard greens are to die for, the pulled pork and brisket melt in your mouth, and the BBQ sauce is The Bomb. (You can buy a bottle to go...) The servers & cook are super personable and a joy to visit with. Go visit this hidden Idaho Gem!

Friendly staff. Quick service. Water tastes better on this side of the state? Why?

Brisket sandwich. You will be happy. Real fries to.
