This is a five star drive-in for two reasons. First, I came here with a hankering for an Impossible Burger. Well! Not only do they have the impossible burger but they have delicious vegan milkshakes made with coconut based soft serve! My vegan chocolate milkshake was better than my husband's classic chocolate malt! Five stars for that alone. Also, the service was above and beyond. We went on Mother's Day and the guy who took our order (long brown hair in a braid) was really friendly and funny and he gave us all pink straws in honor of the occasion. Oh and also they have a heated tent you can eat in.Without a doubt the best drive-thru dining experience of my life.
It had been a while since I had eaten here, and this visit was great! I had the Big Bun Burger combo. It was fresh, very neatly put together with just the right amount of condiments, so it didn't get sloppy while I was eating it. Tots were perfectly crispy and not greasy. And they were very busy, so food cooked this well during a dinner rush says a lot about how they care about the quality.
After church, some friends were telling me how much they love this eatery. So a group of us went for a milkshake. I saw great items on the menu, some of which I was told, "You really have to try this!" But a milkshake was all I was looking for at this particular moment, and I was well rewarded with a nice, creamy, smooth shake with Reese's peanut butter cups and old-fashioned handmade whipped cream. It was a nice afternoon to hang out with good people and good food.
We LOVE Big Bun! There are actual vegan options here for my husband, even vegan shakes and the fries are cooked in separate oil so they are vegan as well. Vegan options aside, they have great homemade food! Corn dogs are hand dipped, homemade mozzarella sticks are to die for, tots are the best in town, hotdogs are always delicious! We ALWAYS go here when in Boise! Online ordering is a breeze and pickup is fast. ?
Their huckleberry bacon burger fantastic, chicken strips remind me of the best I had in childhood, and their milkshakes/lemonade never disappoints. Worth the double drive thru line that sometimes fills up, but they have walk up service and seating. Small parking lot and area to wait in drive thru during peak peak times, still worth it.
Being vegetarian/vegan it can be hard to find good fast food! The Impossible burger was good, the fries hot (even had vegan fry sauce) and vegan milkshake options! I had a chocolate peanut butter and my husband a pineapple! Definitely a must!
This place is an amazing option for vegans they have the impossible burger and you can get vegan fry sauce and vegan milkshakes which is amazing. Love big bun!
Employees were extremely friendly, and of all the places I've gone out to eat my experience here was by far the best experience I've ever had when dining out. Although the food was more on the pricey side, the portions given and the quality of the food was easily ranked 11/10 in my opinion. Well worth the expense, if given the opportunity to come by I strongly suggest dining here as I know this will be my new favorite spot. Thank you guys so much for your amazing work and even more amazing food!!!!
Big bun doesn't disappoint. I usually get the number 1 with fries or tater tots. If you don't like recess ice cream don't read the rest of this post. It's amazing. A yummy way to make those blood sugars rise to high heaven
I love this place. Its given me the feel of old town style hamburger place. The shakes are outstanding and worth the wait in line to get what you order. It is hard to find these old hamburger places any more.
