Good service, good food, appreciated the offer of a cup of iced tea to go.
Went Denny’s Kunia at 12:15p. Waited to be seated. There was a server talking to a couple (had a coffee carafe in her hand and back toward us). There were five other parties seated and eating. After seven minutes, a worker came from the kitchen area and I asked if my husband and I could be seated. We were seated and no one came to take our order after four minutes. We saw the cashier and another worker immediately seat two different parties that came in after us. After eye contact, I asked the cashier if someone was going to take our order. She came back and took our order. My husband ordered a premium breakfast. I ordered buttermilk pancakes for an extra $2 with a breakfast order. The waitress said, the pancake is $3.99. I said the menu says $2 with a breakfast order. She said, let me talk to the manager.Nobody acknowledged us when we arrived; nobody took our order as the othe five tables were already eating; and told the price on the menu is not correct. This is really poor customer service and bad business. We got up and left.This is unacceptable.
They were definitely short staffed for breakfast. We were there for about 10 mins before someone came to the front. She checked out people who were finished dining and then finally came over to host. There was no one else in front of or behind us but they didn't have any room so she started a wait list. We waited for another 20 mins. About 4 families left and had to wait 10 mins to get checked out. More people came in, no one was at the front to greet them or let them know to sign in. When we finally got seated it took another 10 mins for someone to come get our drink orders. Mind you, we arrived at 10:20 a.m. we didn't get seated until 11 a.m. Our food took a while to get to us. The pancakes were ok. The food was alright. Our server was really nice but took so long to come back with our check and our waters. We didn't end up leaving until 12:30 p.m. The lunch crowd started to file in, but majority of the breakfast crows was still there, waiting for their food or to be seated. They really need some more manpower to help them manage the customers.
Sorry, but the quality of feed here has really gone downhill. I brought my son here today for lunch, and it was apparent that everything was just pre-made, processed and frozen. We both ordered the country fried steak, and in the past I remember it was large, thin and tasty. Today we got a small, round thing that obviously came out of a box, like a breaded hamburger. Totally different from what I've enjoyed in the past.The hash browns were semi-raw/ undercooked. Pancakes were ok, but my son's had a dollop of fake butter, and mine didn't have any. Server also forgot to bring syrup with the order and when reminded, never returned. I had to ask someone else for syrup.Sadly, the entire meal was very mediocre and disappointing, much different from just before the pandemic. I assume they are trying to save money and switched to a new supplier. Doubt I'll be back if that's how it is now.
Our server of the night is very helpful
I wasn’t there for food, but to just drop off papers and I waited for 5 minutes for someone to at least attend to me. At first I called the store while I was waiting to just catch someone attention but yet no one came to the front to answer the phone. Once I finally seen a worker I asked for her manager and I can already tell they had bad customer service because of how their boss treated me.
We had to WAIT for sooo long, my cousin had to leave for her appointment. A courtesy update about having short staff would've been appreciated BEFORE ordering our meals. We should've gone to Zippys.
Love the Sirloin steak medium rare it melts in your mouth.
Great example of Denny’s.Our server Joyce was the nicest person ever. The service was amazing, food was fresh, hot and really tasty. Loved it.
Ordered takeout and the portions were so small plus the corn looked almost gray. Also ordered medium rare and it is well done. Missing dinner bread too.
