Amazing food. Korean Chicken was crazy good, relatively fast and cheap.
Came around 11am and got out chicken katsu within minutes of placing the order. There are picnic tables and parking at nearby Wells park if you can't wait to dig in like usThe katsu was perfectly breaded, shatteringly crisp and served on a bed of fresh crisp cabbage. We picked mac salad as our side and added kimchi a la carte which was a perfect accompaniment with the rice and chicken (I liked the extra spice and texture)
Only takeout. No picnic benches as seen in other photos. We ordered chicken katsu, Korean chicken, gyoza. All excellent. The side dishes are cold, including the steamed vegetables which was fine but a surprise. Very friendly, happy staff. Rudimentary bathroom served its purpose.
Definitely worth eating here if you like Asian food! I ordered the Korean chicken with chow mei and chow fun and it was delicious. Three prices are reasonable too. I paid $15 total for my order. Highly recommend! (The food was so good that I forgot to take a photo.)
Amazing unagi donburi. Taste just like Japan. My friend got chicken katsu and Korean chicken combo and said both were amazing.
This place was absolutely delicious! If your Maui stop by this place when you leave the airport.
So glad this place changed their hours to be open a little later. Chicken Katsu is the go to, super crispy, juicy, tender, can't go wrong. You also get two choices of a variety of sides, but they do run out towards the end of the night so if you really want something make sure to not show up 5 minutes before closing. The staff is very friendly and despite the amount of orders they can get sometimes, the wait is not too long.
The noodles and tempura were my favorites. We went during lunchtime and the wait was 25 minutes which told us this is a very popular place. Great place to eat local cuisine!
A solid local favorite. But you gotta know what to order because they have their specialties. The chicken katsu is the best classic style on the island. The chow fun is like the kind they serve at the county fair. The nishime is like your grandma’s.They only make so much each day, so come before six to secure your order.
My wife is vegetarian so all she got was steamed veggies and vegi tempura. They were dry and cold. Something I rarely do - returned the food. Dude gave me $8 because that’s how much it costs. I showed the receipt, lady charged $19 for it.My salmon was fine but I am giving two stars because they overcharged us.
