Quick basic breakfast. Fast service. Eggs over medium cooked perfectly. Hash browns are just tater tot patties but that was fine. I need to go back and try the pancakes as they looked good.
Motel: great place to shower/sleep. We didn’t interact with anyone for checkin/checkout, but had maid service (very friendly!) every day to change out towels. There were some small ants by our bathroom sink our whole stay, but wasn’t too concerned about that since we didn’t keep food in our room and spent all of our time outside of the motel exploring the island. One annoyance was having someone smoke outside two doors down with the smell wafting into our room and being able to hear everything outside of our room (more of a fellow guest problem and not the motel itself).Cafe: very quick service and extremely friendly waitress! Didn’t wait to be seated and the food was served within 10 minutes (large portion size of loco moco)
Went to the cafe, didn't stay at the motel. My husband and I both got coffee and loco moco with fried rice. The coffee was fantastic. The loco moco tasted great, but our eggs came out fully fried when we'd asked over easy and I found a sizable egg shell in mine (like an inch long by a quarter inch). We heard great things from a local working at our hotel, so maybe it was just an off day.
I went here on the recommendation of a local and that’s all you will find here are locals. Great breakfast. I even tried the oxtail soup and it was awesome. Just a warning the small order of oxtail soup is really a whole meal. Great place to go to get away from all the tourists even though I’m a tourist.
It was busy when we were here. Service was good. I had the loco moco. Rice, burger patty, fried egg, and gravy all in one bowl (sorry my pic is out of focus). It was DELICIOUS! Never had it before. Wife had fried chicken. I tried some and it was equally good. They obviously concentrate on good food and not decor since place is a bit bare. But when the food is great, who cares! Right?
We checked in late for our one night stay so office was closed and we could not change the room. We found 3 cockroaches and could only catch one to kill it. The next day we complained to the lady at the counter and she was going to get us help but the Manager did not contact us. We said we are coming back the following week and did not want to if our room then would maybe have an issue. We asked when they spray and if they can assure us our room will be ok. So now we are back here in a different building and again COCKROACHES!!!!
firstly, the people that work here are so sweet and kind! secondly, the rooms are a lot nicer and cleaner than i expected. our room had brand new vinyl flooring, a nice tiled shower (with great water pressure), an AC unit, and a comfortable king bed, all for $130! what a deal. not only that, but the cafe downstairs has great and affordable food for everyone! would have stayed here my whole trip if i could have.
A friend & I had an awesome breakfast at TipTop. Loco moco fried rice with banana pancakes. Good food, great service & saw some friends while we were there. So relaxing & enjoyable?
Two stars. The workers were not paying attention to my order. I ordered a size small saimin for take out for my daughter. When I brought the food home for her, she opened it up and was disappointed. She told me that it was not saimin and when I looked inside, there was an oxtail soup instead. She began to cry since she had been waiting all day for me and her father to come home with her food.
