Don't forget to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a resort. This website will compare hundreds of booking web sites and typically will have prices a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This place is the best rated in this area. I've been staying here for a long time. If you choose this place you won't be let down.Beautiful clean resort. Construction currently happening on the lower floors though we barley noticed. The resort restaurant has wonderful food. Lots of local gems within walking distance. The beach is clean and all sand. Perfect paddle boarding/surfing location. We will absolutely return.

We really enjoyed staying at the Royal Sonesta for our first few days on Kauai. The shuttle made it easy to skip the rental car line at the airport and get straight to the beach--and fabulous pool. We also really appreciated Joan from the concierge reaching out before our stay with recommendations for activities and dining, which helped us plan a great trip. The room was comfortable and clean and renovated, and the view from the lanai was exactly what you want to see after a long flight.

Fantastic experience. Wonderful staff, beautiful resort. Perfect location. We rented a cabana on the beach one day which was great. All the restaurants in the resort were great, especially the Italian place. My God that place was so delicious we ate there 2 nights in a row. Even though we visited on Fourth of July weekend it wasn't crowded and we never had to wait more than 5 minutes for anything. Really great place. We're already planning to come back but with friends next time! We booked with the Royal Sonesta.

If I could give no stars, I would. From the check-in process to the tired decor to the lack of hospitality by the front desk staff, this is by no means a 4 star resort. I’ll sum up the major frustrations we had in 3 points. 1) I’ll spare the details but there was a mistake on their end in the check-in process to the point that they told us we could not check in for over 4 hours. They did not say sorry or try hard to find a way to say yes. They made us feel like it was our fault. It took my husband calling the customer service number to get it resolved which they did. But again no real apology from the front desk manager. 2) While the rooms are updated, the rest of the hotel is not. The common area, restaurants, pool and beach amenities are in dire need of an update. And the beach had debris and trash on it. 3) The rates are ridiculous. I understand it is Hawaii but for $600 to $900 a night, I’d expect a better experience and beach towels that aren’t from 2000. The only positive is that Duke’s next door is a great bar and restaurant for casual fare with a fantastic staff.

Micah so super amazing helping get us connected with our luggage that would have been lost Because we had changed airline carriers! Micah made a phone call and made magic happen? It was a crazy day and Micah made the rainbows ??????? Made our vacation???????

Our stay was perfect! A few weeks prior to our trip we heard from the concierge desk who were extremely helpful with sending us recommendations and making a dinner reservation for us at Dukes since there were no more online reservations offered. The pool and beach were exactly what we were looking for when booking this resort! The bar and servers around the pool were great! And breakfast and lunch were delicious. The grounds and our room were spectacular. Overall one of the best travel experiences. We felt like VIPs the entire trip!

While the place is great, the design and architecture is great. It is too tough to navigate, there was a stain on the bed sheets when we had checked in. The next morning we were woken up by a delivery truck that was extremely loud very early in the morning. The only good thing about this place is that the beach is right next to it. And if you think you’re going to go on the beach when it’s dark think again, because there are no lights and no one is there.

THIS PLACE WAS AMAZINGGGG!!!!! My kids including myself thought that the pool was out of this world!!! The pool was SUPER huge SUPER clean and the temperature was great even with the big size. The beach too was very nice and sandy, with restaurants and stores along it. The hotel also had a restaurant right there as well as a grab and go breakfast station. Overall, this place was absolutely great and everything my family and I could want.

This hotel is very nice and not too crowded. The pool is wonderful and large and there is plenty of room around it for everyone. We rented a palapa around the pool one day and around the beach another. It was so relaxing! There are restaurants and shops in walking distance and at night the tiki torches light up the bar and pool area. The renovated rooms were nice and overall the place was wonderful. The only downside is that it’s very pricey and the rooms did not have enough drawer space.

Checkout at the house we rented for a family vacation was early, and our flight didn't leave until evening, so we purchased Resort Passes for the day at Royal Sonesta i including a cabana near the pool. The grounds are beautiful, pool is huge and clean, lots of chairs to relax in. Food service was excellent and was reasonably priced. A server checked regularly with our group to see if we needed anything. Pool towels were included. It was a perfect way to spend the day and relax before boarding a long flight. Outdoor showers are available and bathrooms for changing clothes. The property is on a beach also. The pass was well worth the price and our family of 7 loved it!
