Another great find for delicious grinds. Price is good and you get lots of food. The staff is very friendly. This located in an outdoor mall.
This little unassuming place serves up excellent food. Found it one day looking for breakfast. Great omelet and pancakes. Went back for lunch a few days later and had the Lau Lau and Hawaiian pork and saimin noodles. Fantastic! Go there. You won’t be disappointed.
Very solid big breakfast spot. Outdoor eating with generous portions. Great quality food. Bacon, Portuguese sausage and sausage links were so good. My new favorite homestyle breakfast option.
When we walked inside, we were greeted by Oki, and she instantly treated us like family. We learned she was turning 82 soon, but she had the wit and spunk of a 22 year old. She asked where we were from and walked us through all the menu options in detail. I settled on the Hawaiian plate with Kalua pork. Absolutely the best pulled pork I've ever had. Even better than the Smith Family Luau pork (on the east side of Kauai)! My wife selected the macadamia pancakes -- and they were amazing. I'm a pancake connoisseur and these are tied with the best I've had (Vic's Diner in Abbotsford, BC Canada.) Highly recommend! Be sure to stop in and say hi to Oki!
Delicious Hawaiian plate and pineapple sorbet
After finding Oki’s Diner in 2004 we religiously followed as they moved locations. On a subsequent visit I was heartbroken when I went to the restaurant that had ‘replaced’ her. We headed to the Kauai Bakery for Malasadas (which are super wonderful and sell out early) but on that particular day were closed. But I saw the lighted OKI sign and like a month to a flame I went. And yes, it is a weird location. And yes, she is 81 and still greeting customers. And yes the banana pancakes are to die for. For those of you looking for Oki’s diner go to the mall next to Costco (off of Pikake) and go to Oki’s Lunch Box - breakfast served all day, portions enough for 2 breakfasts, take out only!!!!! Happiness!
So many choices. Great portions. Neal's chicken for the win.
Ordered here previously and was very disappointed. The Omelette wasn’t even an Omelette, it was scrambled eggs with raw veggies mixed in. The Loco Moco was dry and bland even with the sauce. The rice wasn’t cooked properly, it was undercooked. They don’t season their food but that’s to be expected since most places don’t seem to season their food. I will absolutely not be eating here again, if they can’t even make a simple Omelette or cook their rice properly, then I have zero hope for anything else on their menu being any good. Before opening a restaurant on a whim, they should at least get the basics for cooking down first. 2/10 food is still edible but that’s all they have going for them. You’re better off saving your money and looking for some place better to eat.
Oki is a delightful lady, and drew us in to her lunchbox restaurant. The food was wonderful! Had the Hawaiian plate pork, pancit, and shrimp scampi. All 3 were delicious!!! Definitely recommend for authentic Hawaiian food.Mahalo, Oki !!
They serve the original arabica brazilian coffee CAFE BLUSIO. Equal and more rich and thick than Starbuck' s blends. They serve local favorites like Loco Moco Bento. You can't beat their prices for any items.
