Over the last few yrs they give you smaller portions but that's fine. The portions before were monstrous! So this is actually much better. Less waste. Love the beef and broccoli, coconut shrimp and chicken and mushrooms.
Large portions at a fair price. Mixed BBQ plate was generous and a lot of other customers were ordering the duck. Don’t be silly and order something like the cheeseburger and you’ll be happy.

Calling yourself No.1 is an interesting approach, and a high bar to live up to. It was fine. Just buffet style and level of quality. Not great, but not bad either. Pictures are intended to show the local food awards they've received.

I went to No 1 twice on my trip! They had some of the larger tables blocked off for groups, there's a selection of prepared dishes (like Panda Express, but not a national chain), AND you could order some entrees that were cooked to order, so it was one of my top picks with a group of 6 people. I had the chicken katsu and it was made fresh in the back and was delicious! Another member of our group had the fish and it took significantly longer, but he said it was delicious. (Fresh fishy in Hawaii)I had a Kirkland dragonfruit drink and ... it tasted like any other red-flavored liquid.I was sad that their bathroom said No Public Restroom.
