Great Seafood place with excellent Poke with very reasonable prices. Would definitely go back on my next visit to the island for local cuisine and Poke!
Went here for the 1st time visiting Hawaii and the food was delicious and some what reasonably priced. I paid $89 for 4 meals and a few appetizers. To me that seemed a bit expensive but hey its Hawaii... The only complaint I have is that the poke salad with mayo was too salty and the wrapped pork in the laulau plate needed more seasoning to me. .. there's always a line outside this place and the service was quick.. we were in and out. They even have taro ( root veggie they make into a dessert sometimes) in the form of cake and etc that the locals eat... must try the sushi here it's like $1.50 or so for 1 piece but worth it. so good... we stayed at a resort and wanted authentic local food. This place was a good choice (TRY THE ALL WHOTE COLESLAW AND SUSHI) ?Reviewed April 2022
Often the most inconspicuous, hole-in-the-wall restaurants have the best food, and Konohiki Seafoods is the perfect example of that. This was probably the best poke we had on Kauai, but they have several plate lunch options as well. Make sure to stop in if you're driving past.
Excellent assortment of seafood...poke..."balls" or "bombs". My favorites were the scallops and ahi tuna in shoyu sauce. Wish I discovered it earlier on our trip. It was the best in freshness and price!
Join the locals and get in line! Excellent selection of pokes and all kinds of seafood to go. We loved the different kinds of "balls" or "bombs" ( I think it's tofu skin stuffed with a little rice and different kinds of seafood topping), and their various poke. Our favorites were the scallops and ahi tuna in shoyu sauce. Need to go back!
A small shop with a nice variety of food and sweets. The poke was fresh and good. The inari sushi was also very good, they have a selection and you can buy individual pieces. The ginger fried chicken was nicely done, crispy and flavorful. If you’re looking for somewhere to relax and eat your food, drive a few minutes down the road to Lydgate Beach Park.
The BEST local spot!! We came here at least once a day during our 7 days on the island, and we already miss it! The poke bowls are the cheapest that we found in all of Kauai, and the best!! The platters are also delicious, and the little sushi balls! Our favorites were Maiya’s Fiya and Hamachi. Your belly will thank you for stopping at Konohiki.
We always see a line up there and finally came here earlier! There’re more selection if you come early! I love their sashimi, it’s really fresh and affordable!
Amazing! Konohiki is. A takeout/seafood shop and they serve their poke bowls with warm sushi rice (some of the best you will eat) and offer lots of fresh poke options. We got the Ahi with Onion Poke Bowl and hands down some of the best poke we have eaten. We are going to try and stop by one more time before we head home where I will dream of this poke until we can return.
I can see why this place is popular. A wide variety of on-the-go island eats. The donuts were absolutely delicious as well as the other food which we tried. Highly recommended.
