There were a few times we had to get up and seek out the servers to help us. Three of us got our entrees and one of us had to wait for their dish to be redone as it was too far off from what was ordered to be acceptable. All of the orders took a pretty long time to come out. At one point we asked for a wine list and the server went away and we saw her start folding napkins, like she spaced out, then remembered and went and got it. One of the desert wines had been open too long and had to be sent back, there wasnât anything that was discussed like an apology or a remedy. I am not in the habit of making servers and chefs work harder than they normally do, unfortunately this experience was riddled with quite a few hiccups and it was a little but of a bummer.

Donât waste your money! Good was not exciting at all. We went for our anniversary and were asked to wait for our table while another guest walked in and was seated in a better table than us. The food was not impressive and very pricey. The only good part was the water boy and his happy go lucky aloha spirit!

Hualani's was my husband's answer to my question: "Where do you think we should go to have a romantic lunch?" I loved his answer, because that was the restaurant I had in mind. The scenery is outstanding and the food is very good. This time our waitress (Melody) was exceptionally kind, thoughtful and professional. However, the restaurant was full of LOUD, yelling-from-one-table-to-another people. This was not the restaurantâs fault, but it ruined what was supposed to be very special lunch.

Outstanding food in a breathtaking setting with incredibly great service. Best lunch I had on the island during entire weekâs stay. An absolute must for every visit to Kauai.
