Service was quick, ordered the bbq short ribs and kung pao, it was just ok, it’s all chinese food even though the name implies it’s hawaiian, the bbq ribs to me had a peculiar taste. The place smells weird like a mildew moldy smell and the place felt so dirty, so thinking about that made me feel uneasy about the food. Went there because on sundays there aren’t many options but wish i’d gone for fast food.
Food okay, but place is extremely dirty. Do not go the bathrooms. I wanted to wash my hands and I was shocked at how dirty and unkept it was. I ordered the barbecue chicken, steak, and ribs. There was too much fat and I couldn’t eat it. My husband ordered the same plate and his plate was much better. If you can go to another restaurant if cleanliness is important to you. We went because it had decent reviews. We won’t return.
So many great vegetarian options. I recommend the garlic eggplant it’s amazing. The Mac salad was very good too. The portions are large and the staff is very polite. Definitely recommend this place.
We come when we’re tired of wait times and high prices at touristy places with mediocre food. Lots of locals eat here. They have a huge menu, fast friendly service, and mainland prices. Four of us had dinner. The fries and Szechuan eggplant with pork were excellent, the fried rice, fried wontons, and Mongolian beef were fine, hot sour soup was ok but a bit bland. It’s in downtown Lihue, parking in the back.
The food was delicious with fast service. Prices are reasonable. The beef with broccoli and beef with tomato was excellent.
We had chicken chow mein, chicken fried rice and beef lo mein. The meat quality was not good, the vegetables didn’t even taste good. Overall this was not good, we threw most of it away because it was inedible. I would not recommend this spot.
All but one picture on the wall was askew, but the food was not! Sooo tasty and the price was really reasonable. 23 food awards on the wall and they were well deserved. Filled with locals, which says lot!
so great! eating here is one of the best things we’ve done in Hawaii! It feels like generations of locals run this place and eat here. The portions are large the price is unreasonably reasonable and really delicious. For 2, consider one of the mixed grills and one of the plates of vegetables. It will be enough for most!
Had the fried rice, chicken chow mein, orange chicken, and spring rolls. Fried rice and spring rolls were okay. It’s just not the type of Chinese food that I’m used to. Fast service and large portions.
Always good service, delicious food and generous servings.
