If you are looking for poke - this is THE spot. A small fish market (limited seating) offering some of the best poke we had the entire 2 weeks on the island. They have a sampler bowl which has 4 different kinds all in one bowl - poke heaven! Worth the wait if it's busy.

We had been trying to eat at this restaurant and due to limited hours (they close at 4 and are closed on the weekends), we were able to finally get take-out the very last day that we were in Kihei. My husband and I ordered two fish tacos and split a bowl of chowder. The food was delicious. Service was good.

We went many times in December of 2018 and were never disappointed. The fish and chips are some of the best on the Maui. All of the seafood we tried was very good either cooked there or fresh taken back to the condo. We have been to many local spots on Maui and Eskimo Candy is one of the top ones. Would highly recommend you try.

The only thing Eskimo Candy’s “fish and chip” has with traditional (English style) is fish and it was my mistake for ordering it. Traditionally the fish (usually cod or halibut) is dipped in a beer batter and deep fried so the fish is encased with a crispy shell. I should have known that the Hawaiian fish they use do not lend themselves to this preparation. It is too dense and doesn’t flake. This preparation was four finger size pieces of fish lightly breaded and “probably “ fried” in a sauté pan. Diner beware.

I went here twenty years ago before a military deployment to Muslim Asia. Saturday college football and skinny people.

Stopped by Eskimo Candy for a late lunch after a day at the beach. It was pretty busy but we were able to find a table and order from the counter. We had the seafood chowder, coconut shrimp and the fish and chips! The Seafood chowder was my favorite! Even though I was hot from spending the day at the beach, it really hit the spot! The fish in the fish and chips was good, but the portions were small. The coconut shrimp was just average. The girls at the counter were helpful and friendly. The hours seemed a bit odd, so check before heading their way!

Today we had fish & chips. The fish was Ono and was very good. I personally prefer a little more seasoning, but some salt & pepper took care of it. The fish was firm and didn't have an oily taste like some fish has. The fries also have some coating which makes them tasty. While they have a very small area where you can dine it, you are better off getting your order to go. The order and dining area was packed when we were there. This place is off the beaten path, and looks like you are driving into a warehouse district.

Great spot for a quick and affordable lunch. Husband had the poke and loved it. I got the shrimp tacos, which I thought were ok. The fries were the winner! Recommend calling ahead to place your order if you are going at peak time.

Eskimo Candy was our favorite meal in Kihei. I had the cod fish and chips. It was excellent. My husband had the shrimp and chips and my son ordered the poke. Please note that Eskimo Candy is only open during the week -- Monday through Friday. I wish we had time to visit a second time. It was that good!

A small place with incredible food! Best poke on the island for sure. After two weeks traveling around Hawaii this is the food I want to come back to.
