I really enjoyed my stay with wife and my 2 young kids. Their set up is very kid friendly, customer service is good and rooms are nice. The main tower rooms need some updating but the ones above the bar area great.
The atmosphere is lovely here, but… we paid $75 for a burger and fries, fish tacos, and two drinks (a lava flow and a virgin lava flow). This is an expected price around Maui, so whatever, right? Except the food and drinks we got were pretty dismal. The drinks come in tiny plastic cups and were not even comparable to others in similar locations. I ordered my fish tacos with no salsa. One was overloaded with cabbage and the other was overloaded with… salsa. The fish wasn’t cooked poorly, but everything else on the plate was pretty gross. The worst was the tortillas. They were dry, crumbly, and nowhere close to fresh tasting. The burger was not cooked to order, it was hard to eat it was so dry, and the fries were the more decent of the menu items. Overall, don’t show up expecting to get your money’s worth.

Great place to eat! Both the service and food were great. It would be nice if it opened a little earlier in the morning as it's in such a convenient location.

Ordered a strawberry daquiri -- when I asked if they could add more strawberries (to help the lack lustre flavor) they replied that they do not have 'real' strawberries. $16 for a small drink, and I can't get a real strawberry?? LOL ... SMH! FRIES were great though!!!
