Pretty disappointed. I went to Pizza Paradiso as I live very close and thought the experience I had the first time would continue. I was wrong. A few days ago I ordered the smaller size margarita pizza for myself and paid $25, the man at the register let me know it would be 18 minutes. I waited outside for about 10 minutes and came inside where it was cooler. I then kept waiting and waiting and waiting until 35 minutes had gone by and everyone else around me had already finished eating. I went up to the counter and asked about my order and got confused looks as if they had never heard of a pizza in their lives. The worker said it would be right out. A few minutes later a different lady came over to me and said they had given my pizza to someone else and she would have one ready for me very soon. Annoyed, but also very understanding I let it slide. 20 more mins passed. as I was getting up to ask for a refund, the sad little pizza was brought out. I waited almost an hour for this tiny pizza?! Was it a joke? The very least they could have done was made things right. There were no apologies, no discounts, refunds or anything of the sort. They couldn’t even hook it up or put more than 3 slices of tomato on the pizza? I will NEVER return to this place simply on principle that they do not take care of their paying costumers and wasted an hour of my life with no regard. Get it together Pizza Paradiso for the customers you do have left.
The food is good but the staff is beyond difficult when ordering to go food. I order food to go all the time, and it is usually an easy venture, but the staff makes it seem like rocket science. I don’t know if it was because near Covid but I can tell you both of my ordering experiences were nightmares. Getting what I ordered correctly the first time never happened.
We had the Margherita pizza, it was fanatic! Decided to come back for a falafel gyro, which was also great. Ice cream and Gelato were delicious as well. We loved everything we tried, and kept coming back every day of our trip.John is clever, friendly, and makes great food. We can't wait to come back next time we're on Maui.
I am very particular about pizza. This pizza could have had a thinner crust and sure, I could have asked for one, but sometimes I need to find out what a restaurant’s implementation of a thin crust is. Overall, the pizza was good and the toppings were excellent, but I would have preferred more sauce as it was rather scant. All things considered, this was my style of pizza and my style of place. I like a real pizza and will not touch a so-called gourmet pizza. If it doesn’t resemble a normal pizza, I’m not interested.
We ordered the tenderloin kabobs and were disappointed. There was no flavor to the meat. The rice seemed to have more flavor. Only reason it didn't score lower was because we ordered a greek pizza and it was ok.
My daughter's chicken kababs were not fully cooked and the chicken on my chicken parmesan sandwich has bad pieces of meat and fatty chunks. My husband liked his gyro, but this was by far the worst meal we had while visiting the island.
This restaurant has a surprisingly wide menu -- ranging from "Dole Whip" to gyros and dolmas. Our food was tasty. Gyros were big. Some other options, not so much. As others have noted, the Dole whip is served with the swirl method, which leaves a hollow core. At these prices especially, that feels deceitful. But service is prompt and friendly.
Maui Wowi all the way!! Pizza here is just great. I’d recommend ordering online for pickup - is pretty much always crushed busy (obviously for a reason!) - so if you want to avoid the line/wait - then order in advance.
Delicious pizza! You can do half and half. You should try their paradiso pizza, it was like a combination pizza and they were generous with the toppings. Loved it!
Stayed across the Lower H road. Had their gyros and salad. Nice portion. Not oversized. They also had Greek desserts, Dole Whip, and gelato.
