We had an amazing time. The food was wonderful - the pork and chicken was succulent, and my husband and friends loved the fish. There was the more traditional fare such as salad, corn, Mac and cheese, rice and chicken nuggets. I got to try poi, which doesn't have much going for it but mixes well with rice! Randy, who was working our table, was very attentive and made sure everyone had beverages. We loved the dancers. My favorite thing was that even though I'm hard of hearing, I could follow most of what the cast was saying. Yes, there are a lot of people at the table, but we didn't feel crowded. It's hard to see all the action if you're short and there are taller people in front of you. What a great way to end our trip to Maui.

Great first luau experience! Was initially a little nervous based on some of the reviews but was pleasantly surprised how good it was! They gave us fresh flower leis upon entry. The food was excellent and perfectly seasoned. It did sprinkle a little bit prior to the actual show but they provided us with free rain ponchos! The servers were very attentive to our needs and we never ran out of drinks. We were in regular seating and were still able to see the show well. The performers were AMAZING and interacted with the audience.Would definitely recommend it to all my friends visiting Maui!

5 stars for the performance and musicians! Loved the story telling from the host, dancing and fire act! Saw a beautiful rainbow after a little rain shower. Our server was great throughout the night, paid extra for VIP after reading all the reviews about having to wait in line.4 stars for drinks (we stuck to beer and wine vs liquor options)2/3 stars for food - extremely bland, no flavor, no salt or pepper (husband couldn't even finish his plate).Do not come for the food, but come for the performance and highly talented musicians and drummer. ?

Our travel agent booked us into the Myths of Maui Luau, and we had a terrific experience. We splurged on the VIP seating which put us literally “front & center.” The performers were amazing and the historical narration taught us about the various cultures that have contributed to the heritage of Maui. There have been a number of comments about the food selection, but for me that wasn’t why we went! The Kalua Pork was authentic and delicious and the Mai-tais were excellent! – reason enough to go! Yes, I would have liked to see more “authentic” Hawaiian food. For example, the fish, while delicious, was a non-native Asian version of Mahi, and I’m pretty sure chicken nuggets and macaroni salad are not authentic Hawaiian fare. The overall quality of food was very good, and there was something for everyone. All in all, the quality of the performances overshadowed any concerns about the food and are the primary reason for my high rating. While we understand that this is one of the smaller luaus on Maui, we felt that the overall experience was excellent and would recommend it to anyone. If you can swing it, go for the VIP package!

My son and I attended Myths of Maui as our very first Luau this past weekend. I chose this one due to the show having fire dancing and being close to where we were staying. I was expecting more food choices, being that it was a buffet. The pork was good but everything else was pretty bland. The show was entertaining but the story was hard to follow with switching of stages. The picture we had taken was disappointing due to my son having glare spots since he kept his glasses on. It would’ve been nice for the photographer to be more informative since you have to pay $20 to keep your photo. You also have to pay $10 to park.

I would highly NOT recommend this luau. I’ve been to luau’s on the mainland but this was my first ever in Hawaii. It was a below average performance/show. D+They treat people with a regular ticket like a second class citizen. We were told to stand against a wall in the heat for 45 minutes with no seating, no refreshments, nothing to hold us up except a wall around the side of the building. Then sent to another line for 20 minutes also with no seating, no water or anything, around the back so VIP can get sat first though the front door. They said they aren’t worried about covid, that’s why they had us crammed in there to fit as many as possible at long buffet style tables for the show. The seating arrangement was tacky. So my question is, if it’s so safe why were the workers all wearing masks? ?Anyway, The food was awful! The show was so bad. They had one guy come out with fire for 5 minutes. And the authenticity of the show was ruined by having people in the show that don’t look the part. View pics. And don’t try to complain. You won’t get anything from them or Best of Maui Activities. For 350$ I could think of a much better way to spend my evening. If you absolutely have to do a luau bc you’re in Hawaii, I get it. Just don’t choose this one!!!

We chose this one over many others based off of travel and website recommendations. I gave it 4 stars not for the quality of entertainment - but I just thought the Buffet could be better. I wanted to see more choices of food, more things to try. That’s part of the allure of a buffet. The pork and fish were really good . My wife liked the chicken. As far as the Luau goes the entertainment was top notch. Very authentic dancing, native chants and singing, and it was neat and beautiful to be a part of the Hawaiian culture for a night.

Came here on the last weekend of February. We enjoyed it, the show was great. My kids loved it, though this is our first time watching and dining for Luau. The least common denominator of this is the dinner. It wasn't that good and the choices were limited. So I guess we paid more for the show. I thought, considering the ridiculous amount of price for food in Maui, that we will get great food but that was borderline disappointment. We love the interaction of the performers with the crowd. They made us dance, follow and learn some of the Luau's dancing moves. My kids loves it very much.We highly recommend it and please be respectful to them, they do this everyday and you can just imagine how hard doing this for you to get you entertained. But I just wanna call out the management to please improve their foods. I pay a lot for a food truck in Maui but I couldn't complain because they are SO GOOD, it's worth every penny. Not so much here.

Disappointed since this is the longest running luau in Maui. The food is subpar. The actual Luau plot is a bit confusing and should be more engaging. If you have been to the Polynesian cultural center Luau in Oahu, then you will leave this place displeased. The crazy part is that this is a sold out show running 7 days a week. I’m sure as long as they sell out they won’t feel the need to improve. This is the reason I’m writing this review, for a place with a revenue of 1.5 million per month, a lot has to improve.

My husband and I just recently attended the Myths of Maui Luau, and I would highly recommend! We purchased the VIP seating and I was unsure if it would be worth the money and let me tell you it was. We had perfect seating and could see both stages perfectly. The table seating is for the number of your guests so you are not sitting with anyone you do not know. I read a lot of reviews for different luau's and many people mentioned due to COVID, they were no longer doing the buffet. It was not the case for here, they still have the buffet style and unlimited drinks. I thought the food was amazing. My husband liked it as well but was not overly impressed like I was- but the performance! The performance was so entertaining. We laughed and were in awe. It was so beautiful and incredibly family friendly. We would definitely go again. I wish there was a little more dancing and less idle time but it does not negatively impact my review. It was one of my favorite days in Hawaii. If your thinking of it, just do it!
