Family of six went for late lunch. They do not take reservations, but wait was about 30 minutes. Got the text table is eady. Seated promptly. Out waitress was great, good very good and service was right on. (I loved the fish tacos) would definitely recommend for a nice casual lunch/dinner with drinks
The food and drink menu is fantastic. We ordered four different entrees and shares them. Pizzas, Fish & Chips, Tacos, all were excellent. THe MaiTai was legendary. All of this on the beaches of Kaanapali. Cant be beaten! We ate there 3 times. Its our favorite!
Happy hour must! We went at 4pm on a weekday and had a 5 minute wait. Between the views and tasty food, it’s a must! The wings were okay, but the truffle fries and the fish tacos were delicious!! My husband regrets not getting the deviled eggs (They are not on happy hour). The drinks were the best on the island from our short stay! Also they validate parking for the nearby garage.
Such a fun restaurant! Great, inventive food in an upbeat atmosphere in Whaler's Village on Kaanapali. The food was delicious, and while not inexpensive, you get a fabulous meal with great service.
Just back from a wonderful dinner. Started with a white walker- gin and cream coconut etc. delicious. We had swordfish tempura battered fish with garlic fries. That fish was absolutely delicious. Would order again. Lovely waitress. Put our name in around 5:30. Walked around whalers village and our table was ready in under an hour. Don’t forget to order those cream pies for dessert. Would definitely go back.
Fantastic casual restaurant by Peter Merriman, located in Whalers Village. Our group had an assortment of food, from fish and chips to the burger to the deviled eggs, and ended up with the strawberry cream pie. Everything was delicious. The famous Mai Tais are a must. The only minor disappointment was that their pizza kitchen was close at this location the night that ewe dined there. They take walk-ins only, but that’s OK because you’re surrounded by lots of retail shopping to pass away the time.
If this is a tourist trap, trap me baby! This place was a great lunch for my wife and toddler. We got a table with a view and our server was awesome. Toddlers get a free helping of cheese and noodles! I got a catch of the day sandwich and my wife got a cheese burger. Both of them you can add truffle garlic fries for $3! They have really good hazy ipas as well. Lastly, we got the strawberry cream pie, which was delicious! The service was great and a fun fact is parking can get validated. Recommended for families!
We had great time with excellent food. Sat at bar with comfortable seats. Bartender was friendly and laid-back. We had a great view of the ocean and sunset. I ordered the fish sandwich which was mahimahi. Delicious and I added fries. My wife got a Hawaiian noodle dish that was also excellent. Drinks added to an already amazing meal.
Used to be really good. They said 50 min wait and it was almost 2 hours. Only the ahi was good and the rest was blah. One burger was so burnt it was inedible. I no longer recommend this restaurant.
The great thing about Monkeypod's happy hour is the marked down prices and the smaller crowds. If you go here for dinner, you're likely to have a long wait but we only waited 10 minutes and the pizza was excellent. The Strawberry Cream Pie was amazing as well.
