Good vegan place in Maui.. has a decent size menu but once u have had a few dishes rest of them start tasting the same.. not a bad thing though.. we did their happy hour tacos(one of each), they were good but could do with more sauce as they felt a little dry.. we also did their famous taro burger and roasted cauliflower side for lunch another day.. loved the cauliflower, the burger was decent and filling but again could do with a little more sauce. We also had their avocado cocktail which was so refreshing! And their hot sauce is amazing! Also loved the fact they they are so eco-friendly.. for vegetarians/vegans it was a must try in Maui

Best takeaway packaging EVER (attached photo). People here are fabulous and playful. Food is so healthy and clearly made with love. The smoothies? Yum! All the people giving five stars says it all. I'm in. ☀️?

Amazing fresh food that comes with a wonderful farm to table, no waste, sustainability model that I can appreciate. Lots of delicious things on the menu that make your body happy you ate them! The staff is super friendly and accommodating, and they crush fresh herbs in your drinks, it just doesn't get much better than that!

Best restaurant in Maui for vegan eats! Ate here multiple times! Loved the high protein veggie sandwich with taro patty, the Moku bowl, and the buffalo cauliflower bowl.

Excellent food. We had veggie wrap custom prepared without garlic. It was absolutely delicious and very filling. The cheese cake of this place is just out of this world. Loved every bit of the food we had here. Very friendly people.

If you’re looking for vegetarian options on Maui or just great food, this is the place for you. The oven-baked potato wedges were excellent and surprising (hint: they’re not all potatoes). A glass of lavender lemonade was the perfect accompaniment. The restaurant has a welcoming vibe and is 100% committed to no waste. Takeout comes in reusable containers or wrapped in large leaves, there are no disposable dishes or cutlery to clog up landfills - everything is washable, and the napkins are bandannas. The food is locally sourced, farm to table so it doesn’t get any fresher than this. You don’t have to be a vegetarian or vegan to eat here. I’m not but I enjoyed the food tremendously. The staff was incredibly friendly and took great care of us. I highly recommend Moku Roots if you love good food and our planet!

For all the folks complaining about food lacking flavor etc, this is coming from an Indian that has spicy or flavorful food all the time.Taro root burger little chewy but fills you up until next 6 hours haha flavorful as well, everything about the burger was fresh and flavorfulMy husband had a cauliflower bowl and he loved it!!!!Love that they’re a zero waste restaurant and of course like any other restaurant on the island the food is expensive but unfortunately good and fresh food is expensive but keeps you full for a very long time.Coconut water is so fresh and good!!!

SO delicious we came back the next day and my 7-year-old wanted to make it a three-peat. Favorites: Falafel Wrap, Taro Burger and Keiki Smoothie bowl. You’ve got to try the hot sauce on the side for the Falafel Wrap. It’s magical! The whole vibe of the restaurant is great, from the zero waste to the responsibly sourced local ingredients to the cheery staff. Wish we had something like this in our town!

Ok. I admit it. When my wife suggested we have dinner at Moku Roots I was skeptical since she only eats lettuce and cottage cheese (ok, maybe a little more). She said she read a review and it was a highly regarded vegetarian/healthy restaurant. So I envisioned a place with a menu full of things i couldn't pronounce and food with no taste. Holy cow was I wrong! (Don't tell me wife i admitted that! The foot was incredibly tasty the "check-in" was absolutely delicious. Even the cookie (mini cake size) was a delight.

One of the best vegan restaurants with great food, cool vibe, amazing staff. They are zero waste - need I say more! We tried taro burger for the first time and it was delicious -5/5.Pineapple fried rice and pad Thai were super flavorful - 5/5Tacos were good too! They have lots of good options for drinks - loved Lavender lemonade and hibiscus mimosa. If you are in Maui, I definitely recommend trying this restaurant. Oh! Also they have some cool t-shirts that you can buy!!
