Perfect place to stay in Maui. It's like a 10-12 min. drive to Lahaina, and it's conveniently located near shops, stores, groceries, restaurants and has a beach front property where you can see turtles almost near the shore. The service was amazing, staff was all accommodating and friendly. Rooms are spacious, we stayed in their Deluxe Ocean View Room and it was so roomy and perfect. The bathrooms were huge and had all the basic utensils you would need. Love this place!!!

Great bar! Great view, and GREAT music when Harry Troupe plays! It was an excellent Saturday. My wife and I first met Harry long before our family, but now we are true friends and he has watched our family grow. He is a true musician, and easily brings a crowd. Great sunset tonight!

it is a nice place but was hoping that the main dining room would have been open again. no valet parking anymore, cannot wait till the beach access is open for us !!! one bedroom was very hot during the day but the view was great

Based on some of the reviews I was nervous about staying here. We booked our trip through Southwest Vacations (I highly recommend this too) and this resort fit our objective. We had a great time. We loved the resort, it's location, and felt like we would stay there again. Pros: Very clean. The staff was very attentive. Beach access. Awesome pool with chairs always available. Kids' activity center. The bar. The food was awesome. (initally we were bummed about no sit down but honestly it just wasn't a big deal at all). Close to Slappy Cakes & grocery store. Plenty of in room amenities. Cons: No ABC store within walking distance (I know, but when you know...you know) and no Hilton Points earned even though it's a Hilton Grand Resort property now (or transitioning). Seriously? Those are my only two "cons" so that shows you I am reaching for them. Overall: this is a great resort! Don't let the complaints about the beach construction persuade you to stay somewhere else. The beach access is totally fine. We walked farther when we stayed at HHW in Waikiki (which we also love).

My husband and I and our 2 teenagers travel to Maui at least once a year. This was a last minute vacation. We usually stay on the other side of black rock near Whaler's Village but not much availability so we thought we would try something new and the price was right. We had a one-bedroom suite and pull out couch in living area. From the outside of the resort, the building looks outdated but we were pleasantly surprised! The room was huge! Appears some updates have been made fairly recently (flooring and furniture/decor) Large living and kitchen area and spacious master bedroom with plenty of storage and large closet. The oversized bathroom was awesome! The staff was very friendly and helpful and whenever we needed items such as towels/soap/coffee, it was delivered almost immediately! The pool is very nice, refreshing and beautiful clean grounds. Plenty of lounge chairs to accommodate everyone! We loved that it never felt crowded at the resort or the pool and the room was very quiet! We ate at the pool for lunch one day and the food was all very good! The only downside is that there is a walkway being constructed behind the resort along the beach so there was no immediate access to the beach from the pool (I'm not sure when construction will be complete). You could get to the beach with limited access on the side of the resort. Otherwise I would have given a 5 star review. Great location! short drive to Whaler's Village and restaurants. We enjoyed walking about a block to the food trucks! Great food and something for everyone. (Note: the teenagers prefer resort with closer walking distance to Whalers. My husband and I would definitely come back to this resort for a couples getaway)

The desk staff and concierge service were exceptional with answering questions and making reservations. Housekeeping left a bit to be desired, and the tissue/toilet tissue was of a horrible quality. Pool and hot tub were wonderful - as was the beach, and the location was excellent.

My in laws gifted me a week at this property. I had never stayed at a diamond resorts timeshare before. We had a 1 bedroom deluxe ocean view room. The room had a king bed and there was a full or queen sized sleeper in the living room. The property had the room marketed as a two person, but there is no reason a couple with kids who could fit on the sleeper could not use the room. The room was spacious, frankly almost to much. They could easily divide the room differently and make it a 2 bedroom. The room had a kitchen with a fridge, DW and sink. The only way to cook was with a microwave or toaster, there was no cook top or oven. There is a coffee maker as well. The bath had a shower stall, bath and toilet closet with 2 sinks. The balcony area was dinky and it would be cumbersome to try and eat a meal or do anything on it besides sit in one of the chairs. Our room looked out over the pool and was directly above the one open bar on the property. At first I was concerned this could be a noise issue from people whooping it up in the pool at night, but there was no problem at all. The property itself stuck me as worn down. The pink walls and turquoise tile floors screamed 90’s as did the wear and tear. The room furnishings were somewhat dated and dinged up. The vinyl fake wood flooring in the living/dining area seemed out of place like a slap dash attempt to update or replace the previous flooring materiel. The room was clean and all the common areas were as well, but the wear is showing. I wasn’t sure what to expect in service an amenities. We got no maid service the entire 7 day stay we were there. We just called down for fresh towels about half way thru our stay. There was only one food location running ( which felt overpriced) and they seemed short staffed, but in fairness I heard several businesses talk about staffing shortages on the island, so i guess it is to be expected there nowadays. For the kids there is a little putt putt golf course, a ping pong table and off course the pool area to play. The pool was large and had a net for water volleyball, but was lacking when it comes to slides or other play features I have seen at other Hawaiian resorts. There was one slide, but I’m a not sure it was operational. The beach in front of the pool deck has eroded and they were doing work to the oceanfront, including putting giant sandbags to prevent further erosion, which were unsightly. There is beach access from the opposite side of the resort to a pleasant little strand if you prefer walking out to an ocean dip instead of the pool. One other nice amenity we used was a public shower and changing room. We had a red eye back to the mainland, but checkout was 10am. We were able to go to the beach and use the pool after we checked out and then get a quick shower and change to go to the airport at night. It was a helpful addition not all hotels on the islands have and let us get an “extra” play day on Maui. I didn’t interact much with the staff, but those interactions were uniformly positive. The staff was a highlight. They were attentive and followed up on every request quickly and happily. The location was good, a 5 minute drive to Kaanapali beach, one of the best in the world, and close to prime snorkeling locations like Black Rock and Honolulu bay. Getting to some of the other popular island sights like the road to Hana and Haleakala NP was a bit of a schlep. All in all, I found the resort just ok. In fairness the last two trips I took to the islands I ended up in 5 Star properties thanks to some hefty hotel reward point redemptions, so I may be spoiled. Would I go back to this location? Yes. But I am usually an up an at them kind of traveler who is out and about when I travel, not one who lingers around my hotel. If I was looking for a resort type location where I was spending a ton of time at the hotel, this would not be my first choice. It if you are looking for a clean sleeping room to lay down your head after a day of fun on Maui, it’s a good choice.

Just little outdated and probably still suffering from COVID as they seemed understaffed to continue same restaurants and lounges. No daily room service and add in the beach area is under construction.

The employees at the Ka'anapoli Beach Club are doing the best they can in this pandemic environment. Some have been there for years and they remembered us and were glad to see us. Improve the food choices and quantity and allow food to be ordered at the bar and dining tables. Our room was good, just as always. Talking to other guests we all have the same issue with the beach .... no access in the front of the property and sitting at the pool no beach visibility due to high sand bags. I understand this is due to a tsunami or hurricane several years ago, but Hilton/Diamond needs to keep owners informed of what the future holds.

My husband, son and I spent an exchange week in May at the KBC and absolutely loved it. The grounds are gorgeous, located right on the beach and the amenities are amazing. Our one bedroom suite was huge, the resort staff are super accommodating and the island of Maui is so breathtaking. I'd go back in a minute if the travel time from Montreal wasn't so LONG !!! Highly recommend this 5-star worthy resort.
