The food was fantastic! We ate here for dinner 2 days out of our vacation because it was so good. This Mexican food was different than our fav's in Nevada, but fresh and flavorful. The salsa? So good i got the recipe - unlike any salsa we've ever had. We tried the taco plates and tried 4 different proteins for the tacos- shrimp, carnitas, tinga chicken & chile verde pork. Best chile verde I've ever had. Carnitas were my runner up. Kids loved the shrimp tacos. Also tried the Mala burrito and beef enchiladas which were great. Something different in the enchilada sauce that we've never tasted and some may not care for, but my son loved the enchiladas. Is the food pricey? Yes, however, what isn't in Maui? Was only about $25 more for dinner than we pay in Northern Nevada. Beautiful views, live music & we loved our waitress, Desi. Park in the Safeway shopping center and walk half block.
My family enjoyed a nice meal here but had to get over some sticker shock when ordering. Kids meals were 14 dollars for a build your own taco plate, cocktails are about 20 bucks each and my quesadilla meal was 35 dollars after adding the protein. Good food but only a step up from our home Mexican restaurants, at triple the price. One item that was excellent and had bang for the buck was chips and salsa. This place has a beautiful ocean view/ sunset view and the server was very friendly and attentive to our requests.
Great, open air seating with an outstanding view. We came at 5pm on a Thursday and got a seat right away (party of 2). The staff was very friendly and continually attentive. There were plenty of seats still open at the bar too. The waves crashing against the sea wall along with the soft instrumental music was such a tranquil sound throughout dinner. We enjoyed our appetizers and our entrees were delicious! Worth a stop if your looking for something breezy, laid back & enjoyable!
Absolutely beautiful view. Food was delicious and huge servings. Drink was good too. Staff was friendly and prices were a little on the high end but def worth it. What a gorgeous view
Were able to get a table without a reservation. Food was a bit pricey and was just okay. What really sold me on this place was the excellent service, causal atmosphere, and beautiful views on the water.
Ordered the Burrito. Looked beautiful. Carne Asada and rice inside. No beans. Enchilada sauce with guacamole and sour cream. The Carne Asada was cut into cubes of beef, very over cooked, just hard little cubes of beef. Have never seen a burrito like this. Not good. Other party member had Carnitas tacos. Like them well enough but again nothing special. Very over rated for the price. Won’t be back.
Amazing amazing amazing food, service, quality, and ambience. Seriously, it's pricey but 100% worth it!! The view at sunset is absolutely stunning. The waiter was super friendly and very helpful. Would definitely recommend to anyone!!
Second visit just as good as the first. Excellent selection of Mexican grub. Large servings. Hard working wait staff. Pricey ($16) margaritas. Very busy even at 530.
Loved the place, our server at was simply amazing. He made the experience that much more. Chips were stale salsa was ok. But everything else was good. Chips and salsa are very important. I am a GM if a restaurant in Seattle and first impressions with food is key. We would come back but no chips and salsa.
We were so impressed with the friendly greeting and service as well as delicious food and beautiful views! Upon leaving we were driving away and got a call that we had left our credit card! It was so kind of the staff to immediately call us rather than put it in a drawer! Thank you Friedas!!!
